Has anyone else had this experience? I called yesterday and the CM I spoke with said that their block of rooms for my first 2 choices, the Candy Cane and the Annabella were sold out, but that I could call them direct to see if they had anything available. She quoted me a price of $129.00 for the 3 day Passport Plus park hoppers that are good for 5 days, unlimited fastpass, $10 pp ESPN Zone card, free breakfast 1 day inside the park pp. She said I could purchase the park hoppers without reserving the room through WDT. I hung up, called the hotels and couldn't come up with anything for all the nights I needed. Called WDT back and asked about other Good Neighbor hotels and this CM said I could not buy the parkhoppers without booking a room. She quoted me $933 for the Double Tree including the 5 park hopper passes and $874 for the Tropicana. She said that included taxes and everything but insurance. I decided to check with DH and look at the properties on the net, and of course, check the DIS boards :). Decided on the Double Tree. Called today and the CM priced the Double Tree package with park hoppers, tax and no insurance at $1,048! The Tropicana package at $984. I explained to her the quote from yesterday and she doesn't know why they are different. Wondering what answer I would get, I asked if I could purchase park hoppers without booking a package. The answer was yes, they at $114.00 for adults and $96.00 for 3-9. This included unlimited fastpass, $10 ESPN card, a pin and lanyard. No breakfast. What? Now I am totally confused. Any advice?

1) Park Hoppers can be bought seperately. What the 2nd person may have been telling you is that you can't buy them through Disney Travel? I really don't know the answer to that myself. However, you can either order them from the Disneyland Website here for $119, or you can get the same tickets at the same price from your local AAA office (if you're a member).

2) As far as the different quotes and extras for the passes go, I couldn't tell you. Perhaps there are some different deals running and they were looking at different ones? I do know that Disney runs so many specials through so many places that it's almost impossible to get the same answer twice, even if you happen to talk to the exact same person.

3) I would guess the same would go for the package prices. The only other thing is that maybe, just maybe, the first quote (from the 2nd person), might not have included taxes? As for why, see #2.

It's irritating, frustrating, and not at all the fault of the folks on the phones. My guess is that they're just telling you what pops up on their computer screens when they type in the info. If you feel the need to blame anyone, blame Disney Marketing for having too many offers floating around! ;)
