Hi

Do you think it is time for the Disneyland Paris section of the Dis to get a new segment for Trip Reports?

I love reading them but finding it difficult to keep up with them all at the moment and imagine it will get even worse come the summer months when they are interspersed between question and comments.

I am quite new here and hope I am not stepping on toes or upsetting anyone but think our little forum here could do with some expansion.

Thoughts anyone?

steve

PS even put a poll on, never done one so blame me if it doesn't work.

Flippin heck made the poll open and looks like I can't change it, I suck.

Question still stands anyway, I vote yes.

I think this is a great idea, im always trying to find certain parts or days and find myself trawling through lots of posts

I was thinking exactly the same. It would also be helpful to have a "sticky" for completed reports - I found this section on the UK forum most helpful when planning! (PLus some poeple write brilliant trippies and I like tor ead them even if I'm not planning ;) )

There is a trip report sticky at the top of the page where completed reports are added.
When we complete a report we ask one of the mods to add it to that section for us or sometimes they are added anyhow or in the case of my latest one added before all parts are completed.

I understand that there is a thread for completed TR's but thought it would make for easier reading to thin out the posts in this forum and give those of us (probably all of us) who get a bit of the magic from other peoples trips somewhere to read them easier.

I agree, sometimes its gets hard trying to find the TR's that havent yet been added to TR section.

I voted yes :)

I've been wondering why there was only one segment here. Since the "Search" function never works it's very difficult to look for other days of trip reports without scrolling through everything (until they've been added to the Sticky).

Any thoughts from the Mods?
Is this do-able?
Is it practical?

steve

Do you know, it wasn't until you started this poll that I looked at the front page and realised that we are the only section without a separate trip reports sub-board!! :earseek:

We'll have a chat with the powers above. :goodvibes

I know some of the boards are split up into loads of sections, I don't think we need that much seperation but the 2 would be very nice.

Great idea, ilove to read the reports and sometimes it is a bit confusing

I think it's a good idea too. :)

Very often when I'm busy I'll leave trippies and then read the whole thing in one go, but often it takes a long time to find the seperate threads for each day.

I always do the same. You get a better feeling for the trip if you read the whole TR in one go.
I also would love to see an extra board just for the TR's. :thumbsup2

I've not been on much this weekend. :)
Given that the boards have been getting busier along with "community" rather than just trip planning posts then it may be time to give some thought to possible changes.

Great idea :thumbsup2

I usually have no problems reading all the posts - but there do seem to have been a lot of DIS'ers at DLRP very recently, and all of them have posted lovely long Trippies :thumbsup2 .

Reading them gets me right in the mood for my next visit, so yep, I'd like to see them in a separate bit of the forum, for ease of reading.
