:confused3 How long does it take to get from Pop Century to each of the parks? I am planning to be at the parks before opening each day so I'm wondering what time we will need to leave the hotel. Also, is it easier/better/faster to drive our own car from the hotel each day, or just use Disney's transportation? (Sorry if these are dumb questions....I'm a newbie!).

Thanks!

I would not...I repeat...would not drive to the Magic Kingdom:rolleyes:
If you want to drive there you have to park at the ticket transportation center then either take the monorail or boat over... (in my opinion) it takes waaaay to much time! Busses take you right to the front entrance of M.K.

You can either take the bus or drive to MGM, Epcot, & animal kingdom.

MGM is literally right around the corner.
Epcot is the next closest.
Then Animal Kingdom.

we stayed at pop last september and the busses where great . POP does not share buses with any other resorts the only time we had to wait for busses was after park closing time If you are comfortable using public transportation at home then you will love disney transportation we met the nicest people on the buses

In my estimation from last June, it probably takes less than 30 minutes to reach any park. We always tried to arrive at the stop about an hour before we wanted to arrive at the park entrance. The busses run frequently, every 20 minutes or so. This was our first time using the Disney busses and the only time we had an issue was the morning we had ADR's at Chef Mickey's. We just missed boarding the bus to MK and had to wait. We were almost 10 minutes late, but CM's was able to accomodate us with little wait.

  :laundy: We love Disney transportation! I have to use an ECV and the bus drivers are super (especially when you have difficulty getting the dumb thing on the bus!!!!) We have rented a car once and did the back and forth to the hotel thing and were very pleased when we started using Disney buses. Most of the time, people on the buses are really nice and you can strike up some interesting conversations. But it's just like everything else, when people are hot and tired they just want to get back to their rooms and shower and relax so they can get a little impatient waiting.

Hands down, though, use the buses....it's probably one of the best ideas Disney has thought of.

Thanks so much, everyone! Obce again, I'm finding that DISers give great advice and are so friendly!
