I am in. I had some unexpected financial issues pop up last month so I really need to save this month.

Today was a spendy day but my trip to BJs will last us awhile in paper products, shelf stable items, and pet products.

I'm new so I'm not sure what this is about exactly.
I just know that I have been very lousy with our home budgeting for the past 2 months and it needs to change. We have several failed attempts at saving so I really need to re-evaluate what we are doing. It also caused us to eat really bad, which means I gained back my 8 pounds of weight loss since mid July. To kick start our savings for our wedding/honeymoon in 2016 I purchased two gift cards last month. We are currently living paycheck to paycheck so even saving a dollar can make a huge difference.

I'm in...really need to cut down on eating out and buying coffee. I'm not counting groceries or gas-just spending money. I have a $100 spending budget for the month, so trying to stay within that (and spend as little of it as possible!)

I spent some leftover money from October yesterday, so I am considering my month to be starting today.

I'd like to try this. Stalked last months thread a bit. I've been in saving mode since we just decided to plan an unplanned, budget Disney trip.

I'm going to count everything except paying monthly bills. Groceries are a problem for me, so if I can push buying groceries a few days and use something we already have it would be good. My goal is 10 NO BUY days this month. Here goes:

11/1 - Buy
11/2 - Buy
11/3 - NO BUY!!!
11/4 - Buy
11/5 - Buy
11/6 - Buy
11/7 - Buy

BTW, this thread already helped me. Over lunch I ran to the store to pick up some rolls for dinner. And I realized that meant I would lose a potential No Buy day. I turned around and walked out empty handed. I have plain old bread at home I can use, $3 saved.


I haven't been doing so good. Too many days off from work in November due to kid's school schedule. And when I'm off from work I know I spend. Schedule is back to normal (for a week or two) so hopefully I can pull this out.

I am going to attempt to participate this month. My grocery budget is out of control, and it is usually because I go to the store 5x's a week and buy more than I need every time.

I am going to try to track everything I spend to get an idea of where my money is going. I am hoping for 15 no buy days this month.

I planned my grocery shopping carefully so I would have plenty of lunches, snacks, and coffee for work so there is no excuse to run to dunkin donuts or the store for something better!

I can't decide how many no buy days of the month I want to set as my goal...as many as possible but not sure what spending I can realistically avoid...
