I suppose you all will be LOL but I would like to know...What does the (D) mean in front of DD which I assume is (D) daughter or DH (D) husband?... How does one become a DIS veteran?...finally, what does it mean to bump? Thanks, travelbug24 AKA Internet Virgin!

Hi, Travelbug:

I'll try to get you up to speed, so to speak: <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">

The D in DH, DS, etc. stands for 'dear' as in 'dear husband' or 'dear son', but if you ask a DIS'er it stands for Disney!

To become a veteran you have to have over 75 posts.. as you can see I've been a veteran for aWHILE!

And to bump merely means to move the post up to the front page so everyone can see it!

Hope that helps!

I assumed it was "Disney" and objected and was then told it was "Dear" ... but I still think most people use it to mean "Disney" and that we should use UD, US, UH, and UW instead, to clearly show our superiority :)

Good one, Beckles!

Thanks so much. I assumed it was Disney too. 75, eh? I should have that by the time I go to HRH 9/13/01. Now, can you "bump" to the back so no one else can see my internet shortcomings?

travelbug:

When I first came here I was MORE confused than you! In fact, I think LOTS of people are GLAD you asked so they could know!
