Get a view of your house from space...great site!!!!

Jeff found this site where you can go and punch in your address and they will show you a view of your house from a satelitte in space....

WOW..our house wasn't there yet when they took the picture but some of the surrounding houses were and its really neat!!!

Interesting except the "tack" is at the wrong house. Very neat to see what the plat map looked like before our subdivision was built.

I was surprised that the "tack" was on the right place in the aerial photo of our house. Most map programs put our house on the southwest corner of the intersection of Smokerise and Berkshire Drives. Our house is actually on the southeast corner lot, and Terraserver correctly locates it.

You can't actually see my house because it is surrounded by trees and the shadows that those trees cast.

My house is not where the tack is but in the very center of the photo. It was taken 4 years ago...now there are more houses around me but the farm is still behind me

this one is our condo in Perdido key......

Interesting. My current house is correct, but my home in AZ, they were way off. It could be that the street I lived on was broken up into may parts, but the spot they picked was off by about 2 miles to the west.

You can also look at famous places using Terraserver. Try the following link to get to a page that has satellite photos of Walt Disney World:

If you look at the image of the Magic Kingdom, zoom the image out to 4 meter resolution and click the arrow at the bottom of the picture three times to view the parking lot. You should see a familiar shape inside the race track that is located in the MK parking lot. The following link might work to take you directly to the image that I'm talking about:

Tack is on the wrong house (wrong side of street) but otherwise it is my street! Cool!
