Gertiesquidge and Mr Messy's Relaxed Vow Renewal 27th August 2013 LOGO ADDED :-)

Hi Corinna,

To be honest I don't "need" an aisle runner or a Guest Book for our 5 guests :lmao: but I do NEED to use the gorgeous logo that Joanne designed for me :thumbsup2 I'm going to scrapbook the Guest Book - starting with a "Then and Now" page for pictures of our Wedding and space for pictures of our VR :) Then I want to do a double spread for each of the guests, with room for a picture of them in their VR outfits and space for them to write something/draw a picture :) And I'll use the rest of the pages to scrapbook other pictures from the VR and the holiday itself :) It will be like an informal VR Album :)

Hi Joanne,

I'm still in love with the logo you designed :lovestruck: Its totally perfect :lovestruck: I've already sent the logo to the lady who will be making the Guest Book :lovestruck: As I haven't got a technical bone in my body - what do you mean by changing the resolution of the logo? Does that mean make it so I can enlarge it enough to trace onto the aisle runner??

Love
Gertiesquidge x

I fully understand this. I have a few things that I just had to have even though they are not strictly necessary. I figure it is my special day and I will enjoy it.

I love what you are planning to do with your guest book. I bought a couple of scrapbooks a year ago and I still have not started on them. DH finally did our wedding album a year or so ago. I have however got the best intention to do a coffee table book of some description. If this will include just the vow renewal or the whole vacation and if this will be just photos or will become a hard copy of my trip report remains to be seen.

When I tried to upload my logo for a magnet and for the t shirt and the bag, I kept getting messages that the resolution was too low and the file size was too small so Joanne had to change this for me.

Hi Corinna,

We re-brides have to have some pretty things that are there just "because" :woohoo: Like you I want things there that I (and hopefully my family!!) will enjoy

Hopefully I can make a good job of the Guest Book, but I'm going to wait and see what colour the girls decide to wear, as I'd like to match their pages to their dresses! So that will wait till nearer the time, when they've stopped changing their minds :rotfl:

Our eldest daughter eloped (and married her American Hubby) and I had loads of fun making her a scrapbooked wedding album, so I'm quite looking forward to making one for myself :) School starts again next week, and our 2 year old is going to go to a child-minders (day care) for a couple of mornings too, so once I've caught up with the housework, I should be able to work on all the crafty bits I'm planning for our VR. Although as we are going to WDW in November on holiday, I think I'd better finish those projects first :rotfl:

I'll get Hubby's in house Album designer to design us a coffee table VR album when we've got the CD of photos from our photographer. She is VERY talented and I can't wait to see what she can come up with "for the boss" :rotfl:

Thanks for explaining the resolution thingie, I haven't tried uploading the logo to anywhere yet (I'll probably try Vista Print as quite a few people have recommended there) so I haven't come across that yet! I'll get Hubby or the very talented Joanne to sort it out for me if it comes up with similar messages :worship:

Best wishes

The WONDERFUL Tinkerbell 766 has designed an absolutely beautiful logo for our Vow Renewal - she is such an angel and managed to convert my nonsensical ramblings into just what I had envisaged :worship::lovestruck::worship:

And here is the wonderful Logo - thank you SOOOOOOOO much Tinkerbell 766

I'm a bit late... but that's one awesome logo. Joanne is fab! xx

Hi Gertie!
I'm jumping on board with your PJ! All your plans sound lovely and I love your hair comb! Beautiful.

Your logo is perfect! So pretty!

Can't wait to read more!

Hi Princess Ariel,
I agree Joanne has surpassed herself with this logo, I am completely biased though - I LOVE it :lovestruc

Hi Mrs Duck,
Thanks for joining in :) Looking at your signature you are having a Swan Wedding - so I'm off to read that now :)

Best wishes
Gertiesquidge

I LOVE THE LOGO!! U can clearly see the swan & mickey which i love... 25yrs of marriage WOW! I pray 2 God that me & my hubby will get 2 see 25yrs of marriage being alive and healthy... Keep us posted with updates popcorn::

Jumping in on your planning - congrats on your upcoming 25th! :thumbsup2 Your family sounds wonderful - and I am in awe that you still have the time and presence of mind to plan the VR with the all the activity around your house...

The combs for your hair are beautiful - the treasure box for the rings adorable - and the logo is wonderful (Jo is certainly a woman of many talents)...

We just survived our August VR and it was very, very, very hot - but I felt it was important to keep it as close to the actual original date - so we just went with it...:cool2: Whatever you decide (indoors or out), walking or driving to Beaches & Cream (also a great idea and so much fun) - you'll be okay because you'll be so happy with the day, it will only be a minor inconvenience...:cloud9:

We did a wishes cruise (splurged on the Grand-I yacht) and it was wonderful - I think you and the kids would be very happy with any fireworks cruise - it is a intimate and special experience from the water....

Following along - can't wait for the all the developments over the next year or so.....:surfweb:

Hi Virtuous Girl,
It hasn't all been sunshine and roses during the past 23 years, but the good times outweigh the bad and our love and respect for each other has got us through :lovestruc That and a good sense of humour :rotfl2:

Hi Wiserabbit,
Thanks for your lovely compliments :) And for your encouragement about surviving the August heat (my MAIN worry!!). To paraphrase another Dis-bride I'll be at my favourite place in the world, with my favourite people in the world (re)marrying my favourite hubby  so whatever happens we will have a fantastic time :lovestruc

Well my life seems to have gone from busy to CHAOS in the last week or so and I've not had time to get on here!! I've been getting Little Prince ready to go back to school, finding all his uniform (yes we dress our kids as little Harry Potters to go to school over here lol) and PE kit etc. He has ADHD and autism and it has seemed like a veeeeery long Summer Holiday, so I've been really looking forward to school restarting!! Don't get me wrong I love him to bits, but he is hard work and 6 weeks is a LONG time!! I've also been potty training Princess Lollipop and getting her settled in with a childminder (day care) for a couple of mornings a week - to give me a breather, and chance to catch up on the housework (or the Dis :lmao:). On top of all the Mr Messy has come down with pneumonia, quickly followed by Drama Teen, so I've been trying to make sure they do as little as possible and rest!! I'm not doing too well at that as Mr Messy has spent the week in London leading a training course, and can't take time off work as he has mega important deadlines to meet!! There has been some good news - Mrs LMS's husband had his Visa to come and live in the UK granted yesterday, so we went out for a meal to celebrate :thumbsup2

I've got my fingers firmly crossed that things settle down now and I can have a peaceful week or two!!

On the VR front my supplies from the Craft Shop arrived :thumbsup2 I was going to have a go at making some beaded Mickey pomanders (kissing balls) that could be used to decorate the ceremony space at the S&D. Well I goofed!! The website clearly said the measurements were in centimetres, but in my head I pictured inches - so the polystyrene balls are tiny :lmao::lmao: Mr Messy just shook his head at me, he's used to me goofing up like this :rotfl2: I'll still make them, I'll just use them to decorate Princess Lollipop's playhouse instead!!

And I think I'll take a trip to the Craft Shop in person next time I want to buy something :rotfl2:

Best wishes

Oh you poor thing. Looks like you had an interesting week. I hope everybody feels better soon. It is great news though that your son in law got his visa.

Corinna

Hi Corinna,

Thank you :) Mr Messy has been admitted (with not much fuss, so he must be feeling awful) to hospital :scared1: He's got stay in over the weekend for tests, but they currently think the pneumonia is improving but that he's developed asthma!! And after a nebuliser last night he slept a LOT better than he has for weeks, so it sounds like it could be the correct diagnosis. At least his pneumonia is improving now, and asthma is very treatable :thumbsup2

Hopefully when he comes home next week he'll be feeling better and will start improving.

Gertiesquidge

I am so sorry that Mr Messy was admitted to hospital. Sending good thoughts and Pixie Dust your way. I hope that he will be allowed to go home very soon.

Corinna

Hi Gertiesquidge! First of all...let me say that your plans look great so far! It's nice to have a couple of years to do little things at a time isn't it! I LOVE your nicknames for your family! They make me lol while reading. Also I am so in love with your hair comb!!! Who is the seller on Etsy? I would really like to see what else they have! Keep up the great work! Can't wait to hear more!

I'm so happy to see another 2013 lady! Everything looks amazing! I understand the date thing.... We wanted the 27th.... So June it is!

Oh Gertie! It sounds like you have your hands full with everyone! I hope everyone feels better soon and that you get some much needed rest!

Ps. I love that you say the boys get dressed as little Harry Potters for school! Too cute!!

Sorry to hear about Mr. M's illness - hopefully YOU won't come down with anything - who would take care of everybody else?:cutie:

I think its great that you are even attemping to do some crafting yourself - that's very brave - I don't have a crafty bone in my body...

Even though my kids are all out of school - I can certainly remember how good it is to get them back in school after a break - you don't realize how much more you have to take care of when everybody is at home all day...it's enough to drive you to drink and eat chocolate!:rotfl:

Til next time - take care of yourself - lot's of handwashing!!
