Redzinner, you can look for 'Herbstfest' or a sort of fall or harvest festival, or 'Schützenfest' which is a marksman festival celebrated in some regions as well. Many towns and villages celebrate them and they are actually quite nice as they are more local and less touristy. I was just in one this past weekend actually in Upper Bavaria

I don't know if any run that late, but Neuss (near Düsseldorf) just had theirs, for instance.
