Geometry...

Is kind of annoying. One chapter is easy, I get it all. Next chapter is freakin' hard, and I have no hope of understanding >_<. I have more former than the latter, but the tangents of the circles just get me, in a bad way! Anyone else in Geometry? Not looking for help, I guess this could be the Geometry thread...

What type of questions is it asking?

We have to do the whole tan 40 =12/x
Which goes to x tan 40 = 12/tan 40 which equals something that I don't know without a calculator.

i hated circle geometry. the sine rule was so confusing. but remembering where to use 'sine' 'cosine' and 'tangent' was easy

Tan 40 = .8391...

But, apparently, I'm doing tangents of circles. From the book, it's "a line in the plane of a circle that intersects the circle in exactly one point, called the point of tangency. The tangent ray and tangent segmet are often called tangents." Major major headache.

Im learning about tangents in a circle too

I find that every chaper I start out thinking its old but then it gets easier

I'm in honors geometry and I actually kinda like it. I did circles in the last chapter, and I'm on area right now.

But I HATE HATE HATE HATE proofs. They have to be the most annoying thing ever.

Ew, proofs. One of the major reasons I disliked geometry. Sine, Cosine, and Tangent -- I didn't mind those. The trig part of the course was actually my favourite.

All in all though, I much preger algebra.

Does your teacher let you do paragraph proofs or indirect proofs? They're much easier!

Ahhh I hate Geometry with a burning passion!
I'm good at Algebra but Geometry is so hard for me.
It ruins my days sometimes. lol
I have a B+ in there though...for now.

We just did sine and cosine today.
They were alright, I finished my assignment about 2 minutes before the bell.

I don't like math but Geometry was MUCH easier than Algebra II.
I have to take pre-cal next year. -cries-

I hated it!
Somehow I managed a C on the midterm/final, but got a D in my 4th quartar. :/

I love Algebra, though. Algebra 1. Hate Algebra 2.

I liked Geometry, but only because of my teacher.
This year I'm taking Algebra 2, and I hate it.
But then again, I hate math in general.
