Geez, I'm embarssed to be even asking this but I need ideas/help

I'm sorry to be even posting this and that's the reason I'm posting it so late at night. I'm trying to come up with things for our Christmas boxes that we are mailing to our soldiers's company in Iraq. Of course the boxes have to be gone by the first week of December. The problem is I need help from people (like private business or big corp) to help us put things in the boxes. PLEASE DO NOT THINK I'M ASKING YOU ALL FOR MONEY? I'm not asking for anything in the slightest other than recommendations if you know people who maybe willing to donate things. Like if you know someone that owns a photo store that could donate some disposable cameras or if you know someone that can send us 70 slim jims or beef jerky. Just regular things to put in these holiday boxes. Normally it is an FRG's responisiblity to do this but we have no money since this is a brand new unit the army has formed. We also cannot go into our local community and ask for help because it is such a big army post and the general has said BIG NO. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

At our cub scout pack meeting next month, we are asking each boy to bring in items from a list to be boxed up and sent overseas. There was a woman locally here that has been doing this for 2 years now using donations from the community so she is coming in that evening to help out, box things up, and get them shipped out properly.

While you may not receive those 70 beef jerkies, you could get quite a bit by contacting the scout packs in your area. Also student councils', key clubs, etc may be able to bring in some donations

Go to your local schools and talk to the principal about a fund raiser. Just a thought.

The Boy Scouts and schools are excellent ideas. In our community, both have assisted with Care Packages for the Soldiers.

In our community, the local Churches also pitch in and help in situations such as this.

I appreciate all the suggestions but I cannot go to any organization within 50 miles of our army post to include churches and schools. This isn't just our FRG; it includes all FRGs because it really strains the community trying to support all 25k thousand solders with the 100+ FRGs. Thank you anyways. I guess I'm looking for people who may work or know people at Kodak or Slim Jim company or works at a record label. Thank you all though very much for even reading this.

How about going to a few local dentists and asking if they could donate some floss, toothpaste or toothbrush. They are always giving those to their patients after a visit. If you're looking for big corps, then give them a call. Shouldn't be too hard since you can look up a phone off their websites.
