Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

There were some really cute things in that toy store at DHS. My kids would love those Mickey and Minnie dressed as Pluto and Marie. I also love those princess skirts.

I love those princess skirts! Isn't there a way I could call and get a couple? I haven't seen them online in the "Disney Parks Authentic" section, but my girls NEED them!!

How cute is this? :cutie:

This was the first thing we bought. It was a Ride Bribe for Abby to try Test Track (not a proud parent moment, but it did work:thumbsup2). She wears it a lot at home and out and about. It brings lots of smiles and stares at the grocery store.

Caught up again- strep caught up with me...

Love the videos -I share the same thoughts as Doreen. I can't imagine holding my playsport while holding on for my life, but maybe my dh can.

I can't wait to see pics of the new Disney rooms!

I am confused by Jackie's posts so I better get caught up on her PTR...

Poolrat - love the glasses and I wondered if you used them because they are in excellent shape!

Jill, hopefully, Brooklynn and Bella will be easy about clothes as they get older. My daughters are so picky (3rd grade - 9), but they were picky at 4. haha. A little girl in the 4th grade always looks like she stepped out of a Gymboree catalog. I am so envious of her mother. My girls won't look at anything of that style (of course, I'd go with Gymboree's budget option store -Crazy8...)

All caught up. Such fun it is to shop and tour Disney vicariously through friends!

I hope Trent was able to get you that AK print. Those Larry Dotson prints are gorgeous. I have a few but mine are of the France pavilion as opposed to AK. So nice to pass by them in the house and get your dose of Disney! :goodvibes

Hope that the home renovations continue to go well and that all is ship shape for your party on Sat. Can't wait to see pics of your "new" house! :goodvibes:goodvibes

All caught up. Love the video of Bella. Great shopping pics. I hope you will share pictures of your kitchen when it is complete, Memom!

I told you, if you ever need any party decorations just ask, I might just have something

I believe. it. I'm not sure what Brooklynn will choose in August, but we'll sure keep you in mind.

Don't ask me how I fell behind 31 pages... but I did! Loving every second of your tr so far! The video of Bella is adorable and I LOVE the shopping pictures! Good luck with the kitchen this week!

There was plenty of new merchandise to photograph, with all the 40th anniversary stuff.

I got a text a few minutes ago. He won't be able to start until tomorrow.

I agree. I don't buy many toys, but it's always fun to see new things. The skirts are adorable.

Who is our travel representative down there right now? Wigd just went home. Who is there now that could get you a SKU number and price? Or maybe somebody who is going soon can get that for you. :thumbsup2

Well....we have Coles instead of Kohls! I know it's books but the name sounds the same! We have a Disney store in Toronto...and we'll have Target in a couple of years since they've bought out Zellers!

I'd love it if Nashville surprised us and brought back a new Disney Store and made it one of the super-duper interactive ones. :yay:

That's so cute on her, and that is a fun picture of your family! :)

Bribery of the Disney kind is allowable without penalty to your parental morality. :rolleyes1

If you hold on, you can't get the full effect of flying up and down!

Brooklynn is already particular about her clothes. She goes through phases of things she likes or doesn't like. Jill doesn't like to do much shopping for her without her present, or she knows she may be returning a lot of things.

He did get a picture, but I won't know which one until he gets here this weekend, so it'll be a surprise to me, too. :goodvibes I'm excited about seeing the finished room, even though it's not going to be anything more than just some cosmetic stuff right now. I don't know when Doug will get around to doing the tub work.

I'm a tiny bit stressed, as he informed me he wouldn't be able to start until tomorrow. He promised it would be done, and I'm trusting, but I'm still stressing about the part I have to do when he is finished. I think I may take off Friday. I'm tossing it around in my head...a lot. ;)

I will show pictures. I would show before and after pictures, but it would be too embarrassing. :upsidedow

wow that was a lot of pages to catch up on. :thumbsup2 So glad Aunt Joan is doin better. Great report so far. I am very jealous of the work your having done. My kitchen is just embarassing. Too much money spent at WDW instead of on the kitchen. Hope your party turns out great!! I know it will because ya'll will all be together.

I could send you a secret picture of my floor and stove to make you feel better.

Really.

I'm in the same boat with you -far too much money spent on WDW and not enough on the house.

Dawn messaged me today about fixing food for Joan on Saturday. She said if I wanted to visit, I could, but if I just wanted her to get it at the party and take it to them (she lives next door) she could do that. As much as I would like to run by with the girls, I think Saturday is going to be way filled up. Dawn said she is coming along pretty slowly.

A few more pictures from the froggish shop.

It's not easy being a green hat with mouse ears....

Cute little Disney tram to play with at home.

You could line up thousands of Matchbox cars and play parking lot. ;)

It was time to eat!

IMG_0817.jpg

We had put Mama Melrose on our list a few times, but it had gotten bumped each time. This seemed like the perfect time for it, so here we were.

Did you find me in that picture?

We all went for spaghetti.
And boy, did they give us spaghetti!

IMG_0826.jpg

There are like 4,000 noodles in there!

The bowls were gargantuan!
Large, even.

Look how cute they are when they eat.

It hit the spot, and we ate and ate and ate, but there was no way any of us could come near finishing our portions.

That's it for lunch. In real life, I have to go figure out something easy for dinner. Something that doesn't mess up the kitchen. I will be so glad to have my kitchen back.

:lmao: For added authenticity, you'd have to forget if you parked that one particular car in Unicorn or Sleepy. And attempt to find it at 1 am with your forearms covered in caramel apple sticky remnants.

Poolrat - love the glasses and I wondered if you used them because they are in excellent shape!

I did wash the dust off them to take the picture.

In reality, unless you drink from the corners, you spill all over yourself. After a couple of tries I just put them up because even drinking frrom the corners was awkward.

Now my Burger King plastic everyday cups, not in very good shape. Years of use and dishwasher abuse. :sad2:

They had one shower curtain that reminded me of yacht Club, but I called Jill, and she liked the AKL idea better. When I finally got the AKL curtain, after circling it numerous time on several trips ;), the original three were still there, but all the Yacht Club ones were gone.

I have a littlle Yacht club going on in my bathroom. We have a glass shower stall so no curtain but I have lighthouses on my towels and a toothbrush holder on the counter. ;)

Kay is at least one hoot, and sometimes she's 3 or 4!
You'll have to meet her someday. Just be prepared to feel like you're in a pinball machine of conversation. It's best to just nod every once in a while. She'll get back to the original topic somewhere along the way, so just be patient. :goodvibes

I know people like that. Heck sometimes I can be like that. :rotfl2:

It reminds of "All in the Family" when Edith is telling the story about the dent in the car. It was all about the "cling peaches" She took such a long time to get there and Archie was just making it worse. :lmao: Yup, I can get off topic like that when I let mind wander.

It can be fun to watch. :)

You just keep plotting, friend. We want to see you all on NYE! :dance3:

YES WE DO !!!!! :dance3:

A very busy week ahead for me. This house is going to see big changes this week, and I have to have it party ready by Saturday. I should take Friday off to get it in order. I don't take off very often, pretty much only for Disney trips, but depending on when the floor gets finished, I might have to in order to get all the furniture put back and everything in the house back to where it belongs. Right now, we still have things stuffed into the two empty rooms. At least the painting is done.

I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope it all gets done and you have time to put it all back together.

I got a text a few minutes ago. He won't be able to start until tomorrow.

Yes I did!!!!

Yummm, Mama Melrose's looks sooo yummy! We're eating there for the 2nd time in June...I can't wait :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the house renovations are coming along well!!

Sure enjoyed the ToT ride with you. :thumbsup2 And Bella was so cute in her video! We've never tried Mama Melrose's. Was it worth the price? Having fun with all the shopping and I especially loved the black Mickey purse on page 28.

Hope you're going to show pictures of all your house updates.

It looks like you had a wonderful meal at Mama Melrose! My family had dinner there once, I think back in 2006 and we all enjoyed it. It certainly looks like they were not skimpy with portions! It looks like you got enough spaghetti in one order to feed the whole table!

Glad to hear that your kitchen renovations are nearing completion. My parents just went through something similar. They recently redid their kitchen for the first time. It still had the original Formica counter tops that were installed when the house was built in the 60's! I joked with my mom that she was going to have to get a permit, because those counter tops must have earned protected status under the endangered species act! I think they were the last of their kind! :rotfl2:

My family has a very similar affliction- too many Disney trips and not enough left over money for the kitchen. My mom always reasoned that if you spent enough time on vacation, you wouldn't be home to notice how old and dingy everything was anyway! :rotfl:

I am finally here and caught up!

Wonderful report so far. I am really enjoying all the little videos. Joe teased me today saying we could possibly swing a trip for Memorial Day; however flights are around $350 each. :scared1: So, I'm thinking I'll have to live through your videos! ;)

How is your Aunt Joan?

I look forward to seeing your renovation work! Did you decide on the AKL or YC theme? (sorry if you already mentioned this, I skimmed most of the chatter)

Glad you enjoyed Mama Melrose! We debated on adding it again for this past trip, but it didn't make the list. It will be repeated someday, yum!

Glad your kitchen renovations are going to be underway really, really soon! Our stove is pretty icky and my grandmother has been dying to get us a new one. The oven, too, doesn't work the way it should. I love baking but always put off doing so b/c it's so hard with the oven being the way it is! We have to subtract at least 50 degrees from what it says to bake things at, yet it's cooler in some areas. :confused3 It's very strange.

Who is our travel representative down there right now? Wigd just went home. Who is there now that could get you a SKU number and price? Or maybe somebody who is going soon can get that for you. :thumbsup2

I can't remember who you were responding to with this...:rotfl: But my sister is going in a couple weeks (leaving April 14) and she is staying offsite with a bunch of friends, without park hoppers, so I'm not sure what they're doing each day but I can ask her. Whoever was asking, just respond on here or send me a PM and I promise I will see what she can do!

I must say... this had me puzzled for a moment. I just kept looking at it and thinking... I have no idea where this vehicle is used in the park??? I thought I had been on every form of Disney transportation, but NO! I finally noticed the writing on the package and realized that I didn't know what it was b/c we have never driven to the parks! I have never seen a Disney parking lot or tram!

Glad you liked MM. I'd like to try some place new at HS next time (even though I liked MM) but there aren't that many choices. I'm not willing to spend the $ for HBD. Maybe we'll try 50's. :confused3 The spaghetti looked good though. You can't go wrong with that. A favorite for the kids and adults!
