Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

I loved seeing the man that works at Peter Pan. It seems like we see him every time we go. I will tell you one thing, he is strict! He was cracking us up! He was like a drill Sargent. He was getting on to a group in front of us for not having fast passes. It was cute!
I wish I could come to the ATL meet! I am on call that weekend and I am hosting a picnic for my DH's family. My MIL and FIL are moving to Knoxville. They are staying with us for a few weeks until their condo is ready. Pray for me.:lmao: Just kidding.
Can't wait to see more. Yay for 7 weeks! I just texted my friend yesterday that we have 132 days. It is her first trip and she is excited.

Hey Memom! I'm getting caught up over here today. We took a very unexpected, last minute trip to Myrtle Beach, so I'm reading up while I watch the ocean. Only thing better, would be actually being at Disney! We went to the Disney Store here last night and I thought of you. It's a large outlet store so everything is marked down or on clearance. I could do some serious damage in that place. I should have taken pictures for you, but believe it or not, I did not even bring my camera with me!!! :scared1: That is a first for me! I just wanted to forget everything for a few days though, so I left it behind. I regretted that as soon as we pulled up at the hotel. :sad2:

I loved the old and new photo you took. Very sweet. And to the guy who has been working at Disney for 100 years... :worship: What a gig he has for himself! Sounds like a fantastic retirement plan to me! And since everyone else is staking their claims to the jobs they want, I think I will go with working at the bakery on Main St., at BBB in the castle, or doing anything in any of the Epcot countries. Heck I would hold the balloons all day at MK if I had to! :thumbsup2 I think I will pass on the "behind the horses helper" job in the parade though. :rolleyes1

Oh, mine are, too. The nicest piece of Disney jewelry I have is the necklace Charles gave me at Christmas. The earrings are all ones that cost less than ten dollars a pair.

I have one good pair of earrings from the Contemporary gift shop, and all the others are the cheapies. I wear them to school almost every day. The kids love seeing Tigger, Eeyore, Mickey, Minnie, etc.

A first trip will be very exciting! :cool1:

We'll make our way to east TN one of these days, and you can introduce us to your Disney Store. :wizard:

Yeah, I wouldn't mess with Mr. One-oh-One!

Look at you sneaking in some extra vacay time! Good for you. I am kinda sad we don't get to see your fun in pictures. I guess occasionally we have to let people go places without us - the box people as Lou Mongello has named people who follow others around on their laptops. ;)

I think we can cover almost all the jobs at Disney World pretty well. We may have to outsource the pooper scooper job, though. :upsidedow

Time to crash for a little while on a Sunday afternoon. :)
Yesterday, Trent and Tanya ran in a 5K in downtown Nashville with some of Trent's clients. Drew and I walked with the mayor in a promotion he is doing for the parks. I didn't take the camera, because it was looking like rain, but if I had taken pictures, the mayor would have been the one in the blue shirt and bright orange socks. Drew struck up a conversation with the mayor's photographer about halfway through, as he was at a bridge taking pictures, then just started walking along with our group because I guess he had enough shots. He and Drew talked happily about F-stops and lenses and apertures and the effect of clouds on lighting and such. I enjoyed hearing Drew speak in complete sentences about something he has a passion for. :) They exchanged cards at the end. Maybe he'll call Drew for some extra work one of these days. :goodvibes

The rest of the day was chore day - dishes, clothes, floors, etc. with some DIS time sprinkled around. Today, church and chillin'. Drew just took off for KY, I think, for some riding, and Trent and Tanya are on their way to see the new and improved Opryland Hotel. I have not seen it since the post-flood restoration, but have seen pictures, and it is once again beautiful.

No schoolwork was brought home this weekend. I have two more weeks of a huge load of stuff to do at school, and I plan to leave it right there to do it. When I bring things home, they sit on the shelf rudely calling my name every time I walk past, even though I have clearly told them I will get to them by Sunday night. They don't accept that answer and just keep calling for me, sometimes reaching out to trip me as I go by. Rude, I tell ya! For that reason, I left them all at school - purple Running Record folders, DIBELS books, report cards, everything. I hope they have enjoyed their weekend hanging out in the classroom talking badly about me. I've had a very nice weekend without them. :thumbsup2

Good for you! We all need weekends where the work is left at school. :cloud9:

I have two more weeks of a huge load of stuff to do at school.

Only 2 more weeks! Lucky! We go until June 9 due to snow make-up days. I'm ready for the year to be over....except that means my baby girl will be done with Kindergarten and I'm really not sure where the time went???

I hope they have enjoyed their weekend hanging out in the classroom talking badly about me. I've had a very nice weekend without them. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: :thumbsup2
I

Oh I wish I lived somewhere close to Atlanta...its gotta be better(warmer) than it is here right now!!!
Enjoyed catching up on your TR today!!!

Glad you were able to have a weekend away from school work, MeMom! You deserve it :goodvibes

I hope Drew gets something out of that photography conversation with the mayor's photographer! In this economy, having a connection is extremely valuable! :thumbsup2 I need to make myself a few connections if I ever think I'm getting a job as a teacher :headache:

Good for you, leaving the work at work where it belongs! I'm sure it will be there when you get back.

Hoping Drew's networking leads to some potential job opportunities. How fabulous that he has identified something he has a passion for and is pursuing it! :goodvibes

Think of it as time out for school work.:rotfl2: I have been know to lock my take home work in the car so I can't hear it.

I love it! :rotfl: I have been known to keep my school stuff in my car till the last minute, just because I feel that if I can't see it, it won't bother me as much. I'm glad you got to enjoy a nice weekend off, you deserve it!

I am the Friday night school work junkie. I love love love to get it done and not have to think about again till Monday. However on week nights, especially lately we have been so busy at home I have not touched or taken my bag from the car! So excited to only have 13 days of it left! Only two weekends left to dread a Monday- hooray!

Caught up again! DD's children's theatre play opened this weekend, so we've been scrambling with the busy show schedule, plus spring band concert, evening classes, and my brother's surgery -- which went well, phew!

The photo of you & your whole gang on Mother's Day is beautiful! You are absolutely glowing with love. How nice of you to accommodate Jill, and thanks for sharing with us.

Thank goodness you put your foot down & refused to encourage those rude, rude HW piles by inviting them home. Nope, not welcome if they can't behave. Well done!

So the GA meet is blossoming nicely. I wish I could join in on the fun. Can't wait for pics!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

See, this is exactly why I leave everything at school. When I bring home papers to grade they just taunt me and make me feel bad that I am not paying attention to them, so they stay at school. ;)

I officially have only three sets of papers/projects left to grade after today. Eighth graders are turning in their projects (which Chelsea had to be reminded to do yesterday :sad2:), and sixth and seventh grade are taking their final exams. Hurray! Hurray! :woohoo:

I

Teachers go until the 7th, if we want our full fall break. Kids have 10 1/2 days left, I think it is. One of those is Field Day, and one is Awards Day. We're working on multiplication and cursive handwriting now, which makes the kids think they are big stuff! It's pretty much just crowd control from this point out. I have all my grades now, so getting them put on the cards and doing the cumulative folders is looming large.

We had a coolish day yesterday, too. I think it was 57.

Glad you enjoyed the pictures. :goodvibes

It is very good to know people. ::yes::

I think he should go into the Air Force and travel. He might not get a photographer's job right away, but he could work up seniority toward it. It is listed as an AF career.

Think of it as time out for school work. I have been know to lock my take home work in the car so I can't hear it.

I roll a little cart full of work back and forth between home and school. Sometimes it comes in, and sometimes it stays out.
In about two weeks, it is going into a deep summer sleep. :thumbsup2

Putting it off is what makes Sunday afternoons and evenings so painful, I have discovered, so leaving it at school makes for nicer Sundays. :)

You are a superhero! I crash on Friday nights! I want nothing to do with schoolwork that night.

Sundays (not dreading Mondays) will be happier all summer long! :cool1:

I wish we could have about a hundred DIS friends that could make it to Atlanta! :dance3:

You've been a busy girl. Hope you get some time to relax here and there, but sounds like down time is rare stuff for you right now.

Disney World is not all concrete and steel, thank heavens.
I love the beautiful flowers scattered all around.

We knew Snow White's Scary Adventures would be going down at some point, so we headed there.

The ride went along as usual until......

IMG_1409.jpg

we came to a dead stop.

We were stuck there for several minutes. I believe Jill did a FB post from there. We could have just walked right off, we were so close to the end, but we didn't.

Another new sign in Fantasyland.

Maybe Mrs. Potts' Cupboard will be in with the new Belle/Beast area, or maybe it will no longer be around at all. Not sure.

And now, it was time for us to experience the new interactive queue at Winnie the Pooh's place.

So did Bella.

The girls really enjoyed just playing in this area and were not even too interested in getting on the ride.

That queue looks like so much fun!! I love that Disney is making some of the queues a bit more interesting - definitely better than looking at a wall and some chain dividers!

Good for you-no school work on the weekend!

I had a busy weekend getting reading to leave this coming weekend.

I will be thinking of you all of the 28th as I walk around WS & MK. Have fun!!

Great way to start my Monday morning with some great pics of MK.

Wow, the new Pooh ride queue looks awesome. I want to spend some time in that this trip!

Bella is just too cute on the carousel. She looks so petitte on that big horse.

Yay for an Atlanta Dis meet. I am sure you will have fun. Wish I lived closer!

:thumbsup2 Yay for no school work on the weekend. I am sure you are getting excited. I am not a teacher but I think I am more excited than Jeremy for school to be out. We have 3 weeks left!

:thumbsup2 Good idea MeMom. I used to cart piles of books and folders home and then drag them back again the next day and it took me a long while to realise I'd feel better just leaving them behind! I never quite got past that Sunday evening planning and prep time so :yay: for a no-schoolwork weekend!

It does look like they are making a lot of good upgrades in that area. :thumbsup2

You could always send us a phone picture. ;) You have fun, too!!!

Seven weeks from today, I could possibly be in Magic Kingdom instead of just looking at pictures. So much better. :goodvibes Not sure which park I'll be in, really, but I'll be in WDW, so it doesn't matter. :cool1:

I don't know if I could make it without having these breaks to look forward to. I can't imagine working 51 or 52 weeks a year with only a little time off. I am admittedly spoiled.

Sometimes the cart makes it out of the car and into the house. Sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes, even when it makes it into the house, it doesn't get touched. :upsidedow I have been working like crazy this morning to get my purple Running Record folders up to date. I have finished the DSA testing and put all of those nice little numbers in nice little boxes, which is what our system thrives on. It's all about numbers in boxes.

The girls have some touch of a virus, I guess. Bella ran a fever Thursday, felt a little better Friday, but then threw up on Saturday. Brooklynn started throwing up yesterday. I know they are pitiful right now. I hope Jill can get by without catching it.

I'm sorry the girls are sick - that stinks!! :( I hope they feel better soon!!

I am going to talk with my brother & SIL about taking Caroline next May before she turns 3. Did you see Brook's FB posts about the new Animation suites? They released sketches at the D23 event - they look very cool!!!
