Oh, mine are, too. The nicest piece of Disney jewelry I have is the necklace Charles gave me at Christmas. The earrings are all ones that cost less than ten dollars a pair.
I have one good pair of earrings from the Contemporary gift shop, and all the others are the cheapies. I wear them to school almost every day. The kids love seeing Tigger, Eeyore, Mickey, Minnie, etc.
I loved seeing the man that works at Peter Pan. It seems like we see him every time we go. I will tell you one thing, he is strict! He was cracking us up! He was like a drill Sargent. He was getting on to a group in front of us for not having fast passes. It was cute!
I wish I could come to the ATL meet! I am on call that weekend and I am hosting a picnic for my DH's family. My MIL and FIL are moving to Knoxville. They are staying with us for a few weeks until their condo is ready. Pray for me. Just kidding.
Can't wait to see more. Yay for 7 weeks! I just texted my friend yesterday that we have 132 days. It is her first trip and she is excited.
A first trip will be very exciting!
We'll make our way to east TN one of these days, and you can introduce us to your
Disney Store.
Yeah, I wouldn't mess with Mr. One-oh-One!
Hey Memom! I'm getting caught up over here today. We took a very unexpected, last minute trip to Myrtle Beach, so I'm reading up while I watch the ocean. Only thing better, would be actually being at Disney! We went to the Disney Store here last night and I thought of you. It's a large outlet store so everything is marked down or on clearance. I could do some serious damage in that place. I should have taken pictures for you, but believe it or not, I did not even bring my camera with me!!! That is a first for me! I just wanted to forget everything for a few days though, so I left it behind. I regretted that as soon as we pulled up at the hotel.
I loved the old and new photo you took. Very sweet. And to the guy who has been working at Disney for 100 years... What a gig he has for himself! Sounds like a fantastic retirement plan to me! And since everyone else is staking their claims to the jobs they want, I think I will go with working at the bakery on Main St., at BBB in the castle, or doing anything in any of the Epcot countries. Heck I would hold the balloons all day at MK if I had to! I think I will pass on the "behind the horses helper" job in the parade though.
Look at you sneaking in some extra vacay time!

Good for you. I am kinda sad we don't get to see your fun in pictures. I guess occasionally we have to let people go places without us - the box people as Lou Mongello has named people who follow others around on their laptops.
I think we can cover almost all the jobs at Disney World pretty well. We may have to outsource the pooper scooper job, though.

Time to crash for a little while on a Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday, Trent and Tanya ran in a 5K in downtown Nashville with some of Trent's clients. Drew and I walked with the mayor in a promotion he is doing for the parks. I didn't take the camera, because it was looking like rain, but if I had taken pictures, the mayor would have been the one in the blue shirt and bright orange socks.

Drew struck up a conversation with the mayor's photographer about halfway through, as he was at a bridge taking pictures, then just started walking along with our group because I guess he had enough shots. He and Drew talked happily about F-stops and lenses and apertures and the effect of clouds on lighting and such. I enjoyed hearing Drew speak in complete sentences about something he has a passion for.

They exchanged cards at the end. Maybe he'll call Drew for some extra work one of these days.
The rest of the day was chore day - dishes, clothes, floors, etc. with some DIS time sprinkled around. Today, church and chillin'. Drew just took off for KY, I think, for some riding, and Trent and Tanya are on their way to see the new and improved Opryland Hotel. I have not seen it since the post-flood restoration, but have seen pictures, and it is once again beautiful.
No schoolwork was brought home this weekend. I have two more weeks of a huge load of stuff to do at school, and I plan to leave it right there to do it. When I bring things home, they sit on the shelf rudely calling my name every time I walk past, even though I have clearly told them I will get to them by Sunday night. They don't accept that answer and just keep calling for me, sometimes reaching out to trip me as I go by. Rude, I tell ya! For that reason, I left them all at school - purple Running Record folders, DIBELS books, report cards, everything. I hope they have enjoyed their weekend hanging out in the classroom talking badly about me. I've had a very nice weekend without them.
