Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Hi MeMom. I have not been on lately. I thought I was having an issue with allergies but it has turned into something more & into my throat & chest.
Better to be sick now than in 17 days when we leave!

Love the WOD shopping pics. I love those earrings that Jackie mentioned also. Of course I love just about everything in there.

I hope you get your girls trip in the fall.

:rotfl: about Kay! Love it!
And, of course, you take THE BEST shopping pictures!!! You make we want EVERYTHING in my house to be Disney!

I love the empty park pictures. And the rain just makes it more charming. Looks just like a real little town from way back when. :cloud9:

I love the empty Main Street pictures! That is also the reason that I make super-early Crystal Palace reservations! And I have to say, as beautiful as it is in the sun, I find MK very pretty in the rain too! Poor Bella in her plastic cocoon though!

Sounds like there will be a big crowd for early October. :dance3:

Kay once was yelling at one of her kids to get something out of his mouth or he might swallow it. She said, "I don't want to have to do the Heinekin Remover on you!" :rotfl: Ever since that day, I have not been able to read, see, or hear about the Heimlich Maneuver without smiling. :)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: That is wonderful! She really does remind me of my mum! We were talking earlier about when she thought Orlando Bloom was a garden attraction in Florida! I had said something or other about him being the Pirates movie and she said "well surely you've been there before with all times you've been to Florida! I'm sure you don't need to see it the day it opens."

One of the perks in the grandparents' handbook states that 'When getting children ready in the morning, the MeMom gets the easy child and the real Mommy gets the other one'. :) Bella wakes up with a smile, and Brooklynn can be a real bear, unless she wakes up on her own. Bella and I go do our thing while Jill is left to coax the bear out of hibernation and get her dressed.

This is also a rule for aunties with bear-like nieces and nephews!:rotfl:

Lumiere is clearly asking to be let out of the glass case.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: I never laughed so hard in my life!!

I have a picture of that frame too  I wanted to buy it but I didn't. I always worry about things like that breaking on the way home.

Unfortunately, the sky was crying about something that morning.

The sky was crying because I had gone home the night before and Mickey missed me :snooty: ;)

We just got back from dinner with Jeremy and everyone else a little while ago. We didn't see him over the weekend because he ended up not coming until Sunday night. It was great to see him! And good news, Jeremy got a job down here, so it's official! They're moving back! :yay: They'll be about 15-20 minutes away from my house! :)

MeMom, some of your Kay stories remind me very much of my neighbor J. She shopped at "Walmarket" and went to Yellowstone to see the "pfizers." She once opined that I wouldn't need a Dust Buster for my car if I would just observe the speed limit!

Love the WoD pics. Your shopping photos are always so much fun, and it's especially nice of you to let me "shop" at WoD without crowds. And I'll bet your enabling mentor Miss Anita Wigd is quite proud.

Pooh's Mate, could you please post a pic of the contents page for the milkshake section? Or just list which milkshakes are included. Or just send me samples of the ones you like best. Thanks!

Bella could easily talk me into buying her cookies with that smile of hers! :goodvibes

Okay, I am still chuckling over Lumiere. :lmao: I know how he feels because that is the way I have felt about school all this week. I don't know how I can make it ten more school days because the kids have been wild this week! The only time they are quiet is when we are reading a book -- needless to say, we have been reading a lot this week. ;)

I imagine you and Jill have had some pretty funny conversations about your buddy Kay!! I have a friend at work that sounds a lot like her - she comes up with some of the strangest words! I usually know what she's trying to say, but boy does she murder the english language

They could be related. ::yes::

I thought of you when heard ther was a tornado in NZ. Glad you are OK.

Add Poolrat to the list.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The October DIS meet list grows! :dance3: It'll be fun to see a big group picture.

We definitely want you feeling all better by the time you leave. :thumbsup2

I like those earrings, but I wear gold, not silver. I don't know if they make them in gold.

I hope we get the October trip, too. Brooklynn would love being a pampered princess for a few days. :cutie:

:rotfl: about Kay! Love it!
And, of course, you take THE BEST shopping pictures!!! You make we want EVERYTHING in my house to be Disney!

Maybe you could have a Disney den or something? Or you could theme every room in your house after a Disney resort. :upsidedow

It is very quaint, isn't it? :)

We need to get your mom and Kay together.

Yes, Mickey was missing you. And you were having to go back to the cold northern winter, so that was something to cry about, for sure.

I am glad you are getting your family closer to you. More Saturday cook-outs and Sunday dinners are on the horizon. :goodvibes

It could be that that little girl pretty much gets what she wants from me. When they were staying here last week, she would come out of the back room saying, "Where's my MeMom?", and I'd hear those little feet padding toward my room. :lovestruc She will smush my face in between her two little hands and say, "I yuh (love) you," and I just want to eat her up!

Mine were crazy yesterday. I just got another new student three days ago! My two little wild boys got into a shoving match at dismissal yesterday, and one ended up with a broken front tooth. I have two little girls who have a love/hate relationship, so they are either screaming at each other or putting their heads together plotting evil against some of the other girls. Some of my good kids are getting more out of hand because I have to spend the lion's share of time on those four. I have two ADHD kids with no meds right now, and one who thinks it's time to bring out all of his Christmas toys. I have taken so much stuff away from this kid, but he still keeps bringing it in. Yep, it is time for summer break!!! :cool1:

:rotfl: I really liked the rule out of the grandparents' handbook!

Bella's sprigs are adorable!

The pictures on Main Street are really nice, even if the sky was crying.

I have my final student teaching observation of the semester in a few hours so wish me luck! I'm teaching AP Psychology and going to do a lesson on eating disorders.

:rotfl: That sounds like a good rule out of the grandparents handbook.

Bella is SO cute! I miss her and Brookie..and you..AND Jill!

NOO!! Bella!! Get out of there!  I'd be freaking out.

The baseball guy outside of Casey's sure does look sad when the sky is crying!!

Little girls crack me up when they get together. My (almost) 7 year old daughter (Emma) and her best friend go to school together, after school care together 2 days a week, AND they live 2 blocks from us, so they're together alot...yet every time they see each other they act like it's been FOREVER. They get picked up together on days they go to the church after school, and evidently one day there was a CRISIS:scared1:....there was WAR declared in the 1st grade....it's the boys vs the girls, and we need to think about our "stragedy":lmao:

Awwww...I would have given Bella those cookies too...what a cutie pie she is!!!!

Loved the Lumiere line he does look like he wants to bust out and go frolick on Main Street!!!

Shopping oh the shopping!! I love shopping with you MeMom!!!!

I do love Bella's little sprigs! :) She looks so tiny standing there with her cookies and little big girl shoes on. She's sure not a baby anymore.

Bummer about the early morning MK rain. Photos without crowds are nice!

Hey girls!

Sorry I haven't been around in FOREVER!!!!

We are on the road right now headed to see the Mouse! So watch your phones for some pics!

I also have a HUGE REQUEST! If you will please say a prayer for my sweet uncle Jimmy. He is having a biopsy on bhis adrenal glands at 2:30 today. This test is crucial. Any and all thoughts and prayers would be appreciated!

When is the Oct dis meet?? We will be going back in Oct too :)

I love to see pictures of Sleeping Bella. She is a very cute sleeper. I know how Jill feels getting Brooklynn up, my son is a bear if you wake his as well.

That rain was coming when we left. It made it a little easier to leave, but it was not fun getting our van packed up.

Aww boo to the rain, though you did get a lot of pictures with MK empty which is really cool looking!! :goodvibes I love the excited face over the box of cookies, too cute!!

I don't know if this is the one Memom is referring to or not (since I haven't been on here in forever either :guilty:) but we were playing with the idea of meeting up on Saturday, October 1st, in the afternoon at EPCOT and all riding Nemo together. :) Memom - if that's not the one you're talking about please correct me.

Yep, I would be putty in those little hands. ::yes::

Amazingly, there is not much difference in their behavior by the time they get to middle school -- yesterday we had a fight in the girls' bathroom first thing in the morning, and then during lunch there was another fight between two boys. They have all lost their minds. :sad2:

I hope your observation went very well. :)

I've tried to help with Brooklynn before when she's like that, but it does not work out very well. In is wrong and so it out. Up is wrong and so is down. Yes is wrong and so is no. It's a no win situation. In her defense, if she is allowed to wake up on her own, which doesn't happen often on Disney trips, of course, then she is very pleasant. :cutie:

That sounds like a good rule out of the grandparents handbook.

NOO!! Bella!! Get out of there! I'd be freaking out.

There will be more hippo meets starting again in 2012. :cool1:

Grandparents also get to dispense popsicles whenever they please. ;)

I'm sure your little girl's plotting was sweet and innocent compared to some of the wannabe thuglets around her.

I hope your girls got those icky old boys, by the way.

So glad you enjoy it. It's cheaper than the real thing, and there are no crowds to fight. :goodvibes

She's a mess these days - talking up a storm!

The rain probably helped the streets be even more empty, really, so I was okay with it.

Prayers for your family. I got your e-mail. There's a lot going on with you guys. Enjoy your trip.

As for October, we had to change our dates, and Jill and Bella are not going. It'll just be Brooklynn and me, and we're going the 15th through the 19th.

I love to see pictures of Sleeping Bella. She is a very cute sleeper. I know how Jill feels getting Brooklynn up, my son is a bear if you wake his as well.

That rain was coming when we left. It made it a little easier to leave, but it was not fun getting our van packed up.

You know, it rains almost every time we leave. I know it is coincidence, but it is true.

Poor Brooklynn is not a happy waker-upper girl. That's probably like most people, but since Jill and I can both snap up even after a few hours and be pleasant about it, it's just different.

Aww boo to the rain, though you did get a lot of pictures with MK empty which is really cool looking!! I love the excited face over the box of cookies, too cute!!

I think the streets look kind of cool wet.

A little box of Minnie's treats were good for the soul. :cutie:

I don't guess you saw our changes. Brooklynn and I are going later in October, and Jill's not going at all. We will look forward to pictures from you guys, though.

Yep, I would be putty in those little hands.

Amazingly, there is not much difference in their behavior by the time they get to middle school -- yesterday we had a fight in the girls' bathroom first thing in the morning, and then during lunch there was another fight between two boys. They have all lost their minds.

These girls will be those girls in a few years. They have so much anger in them at such a young age, and they already think they're about sixteen.
