Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

2 months from today I plan to be sitting right there too!! (or the hippy dippy pool but you get the idea )

Three months for us. We'll probably hang out at the kiddie pool. :goodvibes

My clothing items are size S/M/6/8, but I also have a few accessories. I also have a BNIP girly crib set and a Skip Hop clutch. Scroll down for full listing/details! IHA: -Old Navy Cardigan -Forever 21 Ombre Blouse -Gap Denim Jacket -Ella Moss Anthropologie Striped Tank -Ann Taylor Celebrations Cocktail Dress (size 12, selling for my sis) -2 different Anthropologie top lots -1 more Anthro tops ...

Not sure you meant to post that on this thread. Maybe the Budget Board or Families?

Congratulations to Bella! I saw it on Facebook too. So glad she is potty training early. Blake, my youngest held out until 3. He is finally doing good, but not completely trained yet. He is my stubborn one. Love the pics. I wish I was at the pool right now.

Jill was almost three, too. Bella is very young, I think, but if she does it, great!

Yeay for Bella! Can you imagine how great it will be to travel to Disney and not have to worry about bringing/ordering a ton of diapers? :goodvibes

I'm sure Jill will enjoy the short break she'll get in not shipping diapers. Hopefully, though, she hasn't ruled out shipping again someday.

:lmao: Poor thing! I wish I had that problem...... well the being too tiny part anyway! :rotfl:

I tell Jill she has bird bones. They're hollow. ;)
People pick her up and zoom her through the roof because they don't expect her to be so light. I think it was Wade who did that Saturday at the party. He's used to his big boys, and he picked Bella up and got a shocked look on his face and said, "Whoah!" as she zoomed upward. :rotfl:

YEAH BELLA! I can't wait to get rid of the diapers. Fingers crossed my DD trains early too. Too funny about her pants falling down. She is a little peanut. my DD is 16months and already 24lbs and 32in. Definitely BIG for her age, not fat just big.

Brooklynn was solid. She's built more like John.

:cool1: Yea, for Bella! That is quite an accomplishment. I know you must be real happy, Jill.

It is a pretty big deal at just turning two.

I love those! As soon as I have some extra money i'm going to pick up that cup and the spring plates!

Tiny little princess! I was the same way! I was full term when I was born, but I only weighed 4lbs 2oz. Yay that she stayed dry! Just think of the day's of no more diapers! Is she still rear facing? She's small enough to be :)

I agree! The days of no more diapers are just around the corner!

Yippee!!!! Our little girl is growing up  Jill must be so excited!

Bella is at a very fun stage, and she's got such a great personality. Jill says she's showing 'terrible two' signs, but I'm sure Bella is a perfect angel and it is all Jill's imagination. ;)

I love those Pop pictures!! I want to be there right now. And I'm sort of taking your post as a sign. :) We've been going over things and it just doesn't seem like we can pull off a big family trip in October. So we've been tossing around the idea of a mom and girls trip, for a long weekend over their fall break in October. We'd do it as cheaply as possible and stay value for sure. Pop has been at the front of my mind so when I saw your pictures, it just really hit me that's where we should stay. Thanks for this MeMom!

Congrats to Bella on the big girl panties! What a wonderful little girl she is. :) Little peanut.

I hope you get that girls' trip. We have an absolute blast on ours! Let me know your dates. We may have to change ours.

Not having to worry about diapers is such a relief! Good for Bella and Hooray for Jill!:cool1:

We spent the afternoon at the zoo yesterday. They just opened a new section called "Trail of the Tiger." It was very cool and reminded me of Animal Kingdom. Not all of the animals are out yet. It was still too cool for the birds, one of the tigers is shy so he sits in the doorway to his enclosure and doesn't venture into the open grassy part yet, and the orangutans are still adjusting so they only go into their day room, too. It just opened on Saturday, so it's all new to them-can't say I blame them for being a little confused! I can't wait to go back in a few weeks to see it again.

If you don't mind, could I post a few pictures?

You can absolutely post pictures here. If the weather is good, we are planning a trip to Louisville Zoo in a few weeks. We love zoos!

And Nahtazus. :)

:cheer2:Go Bella!:cheer2:
Congrats to you little girl!

She's quite proud of herself. :cutie:

Congratulations Jill and Bella!! :) Not dealing with diapers is lovely! I'm not even a parent and it's gonna be hard to get changing diapers again when newest DNiece comes next month!

But just look at the sweet little faces that come with those yucky diapers. :lovestruc

Thanks for the pictures of "our" area at Pop! Oh, to be there right now, sitting by the pool and listening to that music:cloud9:...

I know just what you mean. :cool1:

Wow, there is always a lot to catch up on around here! :goodvibes

The party looked like so much fun! You guys did a great job with decorations and activities! I agree that you'd be very successful Disney party planners!

Congrats on Trent and Tanya moving back home! I know that my parents would be over the moon if we moved back to CT, but I don't think that will ever happen.

Great pics from the parks as usual! I really need to go see muppets for our next trip, I don't think I've seen it in almost two years! It looks like you guys also had a great time at the animation studio. I think its cute and fun, and definitely a great way to take a break in the AC. I also loved your pool pics! I spent many weekends at Pop back when we lived in Jacksonville, FL because we got such great AP/FL Resident rates. I wish I was there right now!

We had a really nice weekend here as well, my parents came down to visit and we went to the Natural History Smithsonian on Saturday and went to the cherry blossom festival on Sunday. We really enjoy living in DC, but DH and I have decided that we are not going to stay here. I'm sure DH could find a good job in DC, but even if with good pay, the cost of living is just too high. We've decided that when DH is done with his military commitment next year we're going to shoot for either Huntsville AL, or Tampa FL, since they both have centers for Naval intelligence. I'm voting for Tampa, since I'd love to get back to Florida (and Disney) but AL would be OK too!

I can only imagine what the cost of living is around there! Tampa would be great for Disney trips, but the Huntsville area is a great place, too. You'll definitely get to experience all of your seasons there, if that's something you like. The cost of living there would be cheaper than Tampa, as well. They don't have a beach, though. :upsidedow

Ahh..to be back in WDW, swimming at the pool! :cloud9: I think if we let him, Little Guy would've been perfectly happy just staying at the pool the whole trip!

Brooklynn is rarely ready to leave the pool, either, unless it's cold.

Hi MeMom and Jill! I have been following along but wanted to wait until I reached the end to speak up. Love the TR. It looks fun. You should do all of Pop's marketing because you make it look like the most fantastic place on earth. We have got to get over there one day!

We'll take that job!

I believe that was my chair just about a month ago! Right before the thunderstorm rolled in for the night!

Congrats to Bella (and Jill) for the dry day!! Diaper free days are just around the corner!! :cheer2:

Florida storms are wicked, too. :scared1:

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, BELLA!

And congratulations on your big girl panties.
No more diapers=more Disney money.

TRIP NEWS:
I have been trying to book Chef Mickey's for several weeks now but not having any luck. We are a party of 7 and the fact that we are now 55 days out, I don't see it happening. I have already budgeted for that meal and have the money put aside. Since we won't be using it to eat, I decided to add a day to our trip!!!! I am so excited! I figured another 24 hours at Disney is a whole lot better than a couple hours of eating.

Don't get her too excited, though. I want her to have another one. Yay for another Disney day! :dance3:

Hi MeMom & Brooklynsmommy...I'm pretty new here, but I've enjoyed reading your TR's very much over the last few weeks! I especially LOVE the pics of all the shopping! Your granddaughters (daughters) are absolutely adorable! We're heading down to Disney in July, for our first family trip there, and we can't wait!

Thanks. We hope you have an incredible trip with your family!

Congrats to Bella for staying dry all day :woohoo: She's such a little peanut :cutie: How tall was Brooklynn at that age?

Jill? I'll let her look it up in the baby book. :)

A little more swim time.

And some videos.

This is a one second video when I realized I didn't take a picture of our DIS friends, and by the time I got up, they were walking off.

It was now time for food.

IMG_0933.jpg

We made our way to the food court.
We were right on time to see some dancing.

Video of CM's dancing.

IMG_0938.jpg

You get so much food on the dining plan.

IMG_0935.jpg

IMG_0936.jpg

IMG_0937.jpg

Brooklynn loved being at the table where she could see the TV.
Bella is such a big girl now, so she joined her.

IMG_0939.jpg

I think Kay got this.

IMG_0940.jpg

We talked about seeing Fantasmic, but Jill decided to just hit the hay with the girls.

Kay and I opted for seeing Fantasmic, so I'll share that with you tomorrow night.

Cute video of the girls in the pool. Did that life vest fit?

Thanks for the pics of our favourite pool.

I'd love to try out one of those great RV's and stay at Fort Wilderness!
I hope this all comes through for you guys. :goodvibes

Thanks! I hope soo too! I think it would be awesome to pack away your clothes in a closet....drive (though that part will be hard on me because I have always flown to FL and this will most likely be a 2 day drive from NW ohio) and then arrive at WDW and you are already unpacked. Plus we can bring our own food, drinks etc easily! We can even bring our dog if we want too but I am thinking we are better off leaving him at home! We probably still wouldn't have a lot of time for him on vacation so its probably better to leave him with family or board him if we have too!

I hope this post is legible since Caleb keeps leaning over me and pointing to all the smilies! LOL!

That video of Bella trying to put on the life vest was too funny, the thing looked bigger than she was

The CMs dancing was cute. My boys love to go eat at Joe's Crab Shack because the wait staff dances, so I know they'd get a kick out of those CMs doing the same!

Bella is at a very fun stage, and she's got such a great personality. Jill says she's showing 'terrible two' signs, but I'm sure Bella is a perfect angel and it is all Jill's imagination. ;)

My mom says that too! When Caleb acts up for us...she says he is always good for her and that its our imagination! No he just knows he can push our buttons! LOL! He is normally pretty good...he is just getting to be a WILD little boy! LOL!

You really do get so much food on the dining plan...one of the reasons I'm excited to go back!!!:rotfl2:
Can you believe I've never seen the cast members dancing at Pop?! What time of day does that usually go on? Or do they just do it spontaneously?

There is!

Bella wore big girl panties yesterday and stayed dry all day! She looks absolutely hilarious though because she has no rear so her pants and panties kept sliding down and showing her crack and there is a lot of extra fabric since she is so tiny.

I took Bellarie to the doctor yesterday for her 2 year check up and she weighed in at a whopping 22 pounds and 5 ounces and is 34 inches tall. She won't be riding any height restriction rides any time soon.

I was on a hunt for really small panties when DD was little. The regular ones were much too big. :lmao:

Can't wait to hear about Fantasmic.

Yummmm love Pop food court food! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to work at WDW one day. Chris and I want to work there part time after we retire when we're older. I would love to work at Pop and dance and bring joy to the guests!!

I cracked up watching Bella trying to put on the life vest :rotfl: Brooklynn did a good job swimming :thumbsup2 Cute video of the Pop staff dancing, I've never seen them do that before.

That food sure looks yummy! There is a great variety at Pop, isn't there. One thing I don't love about Saratoga is that your limited to pretty much sandwiches and flatbreads at Artists Point. They're good, but sometimes you want something more substantial. I'm hoping that there are more choices at POR for when we go in May.

Love the swimming pics! Wish I could be swimming right now!

I turned her around at the end of November. She was 21 pounds and 20 months old.

Welcome! We are always glad to have new friends here to enjoy our Disney trips with. When are you going in July? We will be there July 2nd through the 7th.

Congrats to Bella for staying dry all day :woohoo: She's such a little peanut :cutie: How tall was Brooklynn at that age?

I know Brooklynn was able to ride Barnstormer at 22 and a half months. Just went and checked and Brooklynn was 36 and a quarter inches tall and weighed 31 pounds and 3 ounces.

Day 2 was another successful dry day!!!!

Port Orleans does have more variety than Saratoga but not as much as Pop. That is one of my high points about Pop is there food court has lots of different choices.

Oh my gosh, it looked like Bella was going to get lost in that vest! :rotfl:

I love it when the CM's at Pop start doing the Hustle! We caught that a couple of times on the last trip.

I miss Pop so much! I adore the food court -- actually, we all do. Kailyn is kind of picky but she loves the food court, too, b/c she can actually find things that she likes. One of our favorite quick "snacks" to grab was a side of breadsticks and marinara sauce. I am sooooo ready to be back there!

Brooklynn is doing very well swimming.:thumbsup2 And Bella is just adorable with that swim vest.

That would be just wonderful to have a job where you could take a break & entertain the guests by doing the Hustle. Maybe I'll break into a dance at work tomorrow..:rotfl:

Brooklyn is a little fish :fish:

Bella with that lifejacket. :lmao: I thought for a second she was going to get her head through the armhole and jump in.

Here are some pictures from the new exhibit at our local zoo (Virginia Zoological Park in Norfolk, VA). I am sure you'll see why it reminded me of Animal Kingdom. :goodvibes
This is the view as you walk up to the area and the sign:
901.jpg
903.jpg

There is a cool tiger statue on top of a fountain. Here it is with two of my girls (Faith and Ruby):
908.jpg

As you walk in there is a large grassy outside area to the right for the tigers. I know you can't see him well, but here is one laying down:
906.jpg

After that there is a large area for the Orangutans, too. They weren't outside yet. We walked further along the ramps and found these:
911.jpg
912.jpg

Here is a kite hanging from the ceiling, some more of the architecture, and an example of the signage:
913.jpg
915.jpg
917.jpg

Here are the orangutans. The one laying down on the right is a male and the female is sitting near the glass. The person working this area said they are still adjusting, and will go into this day room (as long as the zookeepers keep the door open) but do not go outside yet. She said they need them to "transfer reliably" and for the outside temperatures to remain above 55 degrees at night before they will go to their outside area.
916.jpg
They were probably my favorite part because I've never seen them in real life before. My youngest daughter, Johanna, was singing "I Wanna Be Like You" the whole time we were looking at them. :)

Here are a couple of other architectural pieces. The last one is not from this exhibit, but it seemed Animal Kingdom like, too:
922.jpg
920.jpg
869.jpg

Here is the other tiger:
923.jpg
They are brothers, and this one is not quite as adventurous as his brother. The girl working here said he hasn't ventured to far from the gate that goes between the inside and outside enclosures. He apparently spends a lot of time sitting here. :rotfl: Remember, this whole exhibit just opened to the public on Saturday. I think they said these two came from the Cincinatti zoo.

Here is another picture with all three of my girls near that tiger/water fountain at the beginning:
905.jpg

And finally, from a completely differnt part of the zoo, a picture for Jackie:
878.jpg

As we were watching these, I said to my husband, "I think they look darker than the ones at Animal Kingdom. The ones at AK are reticulated giraffes. I wonder if these are a different kind?" Well, it turns out they were! Ours are Masai giraffes. I haven't read up on what makes them different, but I thought it was kind of neat that I could tell the difference. Plus, I didn't even realize there were different kinds of giraffes!

Thanks for letting me share! I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

I just thought of something else. I am pretty sure I remember reading in our local paper that one of the giraffes from our zoo got transferred to Animal Kingdom several months ago. I wonder if we can spot him when we go? Or, I wonder if we had a reticulated giraffe, and sent him to AK? After I posted the last post, I went and looked at the Wikipedia entry on giraffes and it says there are 6 kinds. The Masai is the darkest in color. Who knew?:confused3
