Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Happy Birthday Bella!

Okay - researcher in me...first answer (I am still digging for others...)

Josiah Boone played by Bing Crosby (Ann Margret also in film) in the 1966 version.
Stagecoach 1939- John Wayne-breakthrough role (He didn't play Dr. Boone, though)!

Working on the fruit but am struggling!!

Already saw the pictures from Jill on Facebook, looks like it was an awesome party! Happy early birthday, Bella! :cheer2: princess:

I'm attempting to play catch-up, but going backwards. It's easier going backwards since I don't remember where I left off.

First order of business.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BELLA!!!! Hope it was a great day! :)

Those pics of Mama Melrose got me excited! We've eaten there before but this trip we are doing the Fantasmic! dining package there and I called this morning to make that reservation....:dance3: I'm inside of 6 months now and it feels like it's forever away....until I remember what I was doing 6 months ago and realize that Seth was already a month old at that point. Crazy!!!

So, so sorry to hear about Jarvis's mother. I hope things went (or are going) well for him in dealing with it. I'll be praying for him and his family.

We had a very fun time. More tomorrow.
I am wiped out and ready for bed.
Jill did put pictures on FB, for those who are interested.
Good night, all! :)

Good night, all! :)

I'm glad Bella had a lovely birthday party!:goodvibes

Bella looks so cute in her sleepy-itzakadoozie photo! My Dniece has done that with cheesecake! She was nodding off while trying to lift the fork to her mouth.

You know, I had never played scrabble until this year! My cousins and I played several rounds during a stormy night in Indiana during the summer. Since then I started playing it online, although, I'm not really that good. But we've started playing this other game that's kinda similar called Banana or something like that. It's like little scrabble tiles in a banana-shaped bag and everyone picks a certain amount, and the first person to use all of their tiles (turning them into words crossword style a la Scrabble) shouts out Banana! It's quite fun!:)

I'm so sorry for Jarvis' loss. I hope he did well at his competition. I'll be saying prayers for him and his family.

I'm also saying prayers for momfo2TNboys and her family. I hope your DH gets whatever he needs to have a long healthy life. I lost my dad when I was in 6th grade so I truly hope your DH is there for a long time for his sons.

Loved the DHS photos especially The Great Movie Ride. This ride holds a special place in my heart. I love all the movie clips at the end.

And last but not least Happy Belated Birthday Party day to Bella! I can't wait to see the pictures. I'm on FB but not friends with Jill.

Ughhh! I never noticed that there wasn't a letter on the pink star before. Now that is really going to bother me! LOL! This is why Connor needs to be an Imagineer. He can set them straight about things like that.

Have a fun party day today! I am looking forward to seeing all the pictures!

The first time I saw it, I was a little shocked.

We did have a fun day. The pictures are loading right now. :thumbsup2

Happy birthday Bella! I hope the party is great. Can't wait to see pics. I have been quickly scanning the boards, but life has gotten in the way. I am so sorry about Jarvis's mom. I will keep him in my prayers. I am asking for some prayers myself. My husband, Jason, has a congenital heart defect that has never bothered him. However, now he is having some extra beats and possible mild changes to his heart. We are going to have to make the tough decision to have open heart surgery or not. He will be having a heart cath this week. Please pray that we take care of this the right way so he can be around for many years to come. By the way, if we have surgery, it will be at Vanderbilt most likely.

That is what I have been doing lately - scanning and hitting whatever reports were at the top of the list when I logged on. I feel like I have missed out on a lot of good stuff, but time only allows us to do so many things, so we just have to be understanding of that and know that our DIS buddies will always be around when we get to them. :)

I am very sorry to hear about your husband, and I hope wise and wonderful doctors can get him fixed up very quickly! Great strides have been made in heart work, as far as I can tell, in the past few years. Heart anything used to bring about a gasp, and now people are back at home in a couple of days and going full speed very quickly. We all hope for the best possible outcome at every turn for your husband. ::yes::

If you are at Vanderbilt and need us to let the boys come and play or need us to bring you some food or whatever, don't hesitate to call.

Happy Birthday Bella! Hope you have a perfect pretty for a two year old princess like you Loved the pics, and I don't get the misspelling of carrousel on the pin?!?!?

Bella had a ball yesterday. Pictures coming in a few minutes. :cutie:

I went ahead and ordered the pin, so I don't have to worry about whether they'll have them in July.

Happy Birthday Bella!
:bday:party:

Have a GREAT day!

We did, and you'll see some of your little puppy friends in pictures. Thanks again!

Have a wonderful weekend with family and celebrating Bella's birthday!

I always love having family around. Jill and John went to a hotel to swim and spend the evening with John's parents. They're going to have breakfast with them and then come back up here for lunch. (I put a roast in the crockpot a little while ago. Yum!)

Can you believe I've never played Scrabble, ever....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA!!!

17899.gif

It's my very favorite board game. I enjoy teaching children how to play, and I enjoy playing grown-up games, as well, but I do it strictly for fun. I'm not into intense competition and million dollar words. (My brain doesn't think much past an elementary school level. ;)) You should give it a try someday and let me know what you think. :)

Have a great weekend with your family! Happy Birthday to Bella from Erin and Ava!

Thank you, sweet girls! It would have been fun to have all the DIS kids at the 'gawgie pahty', too! :dance3:

ALL CAUGHT UP!

Great stuff as ususal.

sorry for Jarvis

Happy Birthday Bella!:bday:

Hope you enjoyed. :thumbsup2

It's gonna be fun to have a DIS meet on my birthday! We have a few DIS meets in the works for the next fews months. I love that we live so close!

We only got about an inch and it already melted. They got more a little farther north.

Happy Birthday Bella! party:

I'm glad the snow went away quickly.

DIS meets are fun. You'll have to let us come along through pictures. :)

Happy birthday Bella! :)
have a great weekend with family, memom!

We are having a nice weekend. It was a pretty day to be outside yesterday, too.

Yes, I love It's Tough to be a bug!! I don't know why it doesn't bother me. Last Halloween we took my DD (15) and some girl friends to the Memphis Zoo "Zoo Boo" and they let a tarantula crawl on their hands. I couldn't even look. I felt sick to my stomach.

You are not scared of giant animatronic bugs, just real bugs. Gotcha. :thumbsup2
One of our former camp counselors used to be afraid of spiders. He was a big, tall guy, confident and in on all sorts of activities and mischief that we could come up with, but he said a spider of any kind would bring him to his knees almost. He didn't understand it, but he just cringed at the sight of a spider.

Happy Birthday Bella!!!

Hope ya'll have a wonderful party!

Sounds like you got a lot done yesterday. Cannot wait to see the pictures.

Have a wonderful weekend with all your loved ones MeMom.

Happy Birthday Bella!!

Happy happy birthday!! Have a super day!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS BELLA

Happy Birthday Bella

Happy Birthday Bella!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA!!!!!

Happy birthday Bella!!!

Thank you all. We had a fun day. After responses, I'll put pictures up so you can join in on the fun. It would have been a blast if you all could have been here! :jumping1:

Happy birthday Bella!!

Hmm...I think you took that pic at the Hollywood Brown Derby!!

You could be right. :)

We've been away for a week so have just about caught up and wanted to pass on my thoughts and prayers to Jarvis.

Hope the birthday girl has a lovely weekend, something you'll all enjoy

Thanks for all the good thoughts. :goodvibes

I am sorry to hear of Jarvis' loss. He is so young to loose his mother.

I hope Bella has a great birthday party. Glad to hear that her Uncle Bubby will be there.

Bubby was here, and both girls were very happy. :thumbsup2

Thanks for that insight. I enjoy all the details of Disney.
Let us know if you ever hear if there is any significance to the fruit names.

Already saw the pictures from Jill on Facebook, looks like it was an awesome party! Happy early birthday, Bella!

I'm getting ready to put them on here now. It was a fun evening.

I just finished looking at Jill's pictures on facebook and I love the new floor and stove.

I was so happy to see the nice floor and stove in the pictures. :cool1:

I think the funeral is tomorrow. He's traveling today from NC, I think it is, to Michigan.

I bet you were so excited to be making Disney reservations for yourself again!

That dalmatian picture is so cute!

Sorry the girls won't be here when you are here next. Brooklynn's soccer games will keep them home on those weekends.

That game does sound fun. I'll have to check it out. It would be a good center game for Reading.

I really wanted to go in One Man's Dream to see the updates, but I couldn't carry Bella through the whole thing, and she was too tired to walk. The popsicle seemed like a good Plan B. :)

I know that all of our DIS friends will be hoping and praying that those heart health issues will be simple to fix. ::yes::

You know, I usually take a handprint picture outside Great Movie Ride, but I didn't do that this time. I just thought of that. :upsidedow

So, are you guys ready for a gawgie pahty?!?!?!?

Everyone was very busy around the house. Inside and out, we all had our tasks. Bella thought she could help by sitting in the cake pan lid.

IMG_1182.jpg

What do you think of the nice, new floor she's sitting on? :thumbsup2

Brooklynn helped Jill with cake decorating and odds and ends jobs.

IMG_1970.jpg

What do you think of the finished product?

IMG_1977.jpg

What do you think of the nice new stove it's sitting on? :thumbsup2 again!

Party bags ready to go home with the little guests.

momof2TNboys I pray that your DH can get best possible care and he has a successful surgery.

Take care, your DIS friends are here. :grouphug:

Sorry to post in between the Party pics!

Bella is a hoot in the cake lid! LOL

Beautiful floors and stove, I'm glad you are happy with it!

What a great job you did of everything! The dogs are everywhere and I love it!

BrooklynnsMommy the cake is awesome!
and the little dog bone sandwiches are perfect!

I love the T.V. idea and the treat bags are cute too!

WOW..you had a whole crowd this time!

Good food and family...what else could be better!

Happy (slightly late, sorry!) birthday to Bella!!!!!!

Her birthday isn't really until Tuesday, so it's all good. ;)

***************************************

After we ate, the kids painted a picture frame and put Dalmatian stickers on them. They all enjoyed being creative and getting a little messy. It was fun to watch their faces as they chose their colors and made their carefully thought out strokes.

IMG_2004.jpg

Brooklynn loves to paint.

IMG_2005.jpg

After painting, we went to the doggie obstacle course.

IMG_2007.jpg

The pups had to chase a Frisbee, jump through a hoop, chase a snake away, catch a fish from the pond, run a raccoon up a tree, jump over a pool noodle, and then get the reward of a bone in the dog bowl.

Here are the rewards.

Nothing better than family, friends, fun, and food! :dance3:

Pictures are still coming.

***********************************************

After all the puppies had gotten their rewards and done the obstacle course four or five times each, they came in for people food.

Bella was not at all sure about the singing and the cake and about why everybody was looking at her.

IMG_2021.jpg

This is the way she looked the whole time we were singing.

IMG_2023.jpg

She didn't get the concept of blowing the candles out, so Brooklynn and Mary Beth helped her.

Soon, everyone was chowing down on ice cream and cake -
out of dog bowls, of course.

IMG_2025.jpg

IMG_2026.jpg

Next came the photo op.

IMG_2028.jpg

I was holding the TV up and getting the kids around the back for pictures, so I handed the camera off. I don't know who was taking pictures, but unfortunately they didn't get the full effect.

IMG_2029.jpg

IMG_2032.jpg

They were supposed to be taken where you could see the puppies watching TV, like this.

IMG_2035.jpg

Then party bags were handed out.

IMG_2038.jpg

IMG_2037.jpg

IMG_2039.jpg

Brandy also got a present, since she's going to be adding a third little boy to her family within the next two weeks.

IMG_2041.jpg

After all the goodbyes were said,

IMG_2042.jpg

Bella opened presents.

IMG_2057.jpg

She got money and a gift card, and a few little toys. We didn't think the boys would be interested in seeing all the girlie stuff, and it's hard on kids to sit and watch, so we just enjoyed the party and got around to the presents later. As expected, one of the best presents was a very large Nemo bag that she crawled in and out of.

It was a very busy and fun day, and we were all tired at the end. Jill and I and the girls also ran out to get the balloons inflated early in the day, and we took a Kentucky Fried Chicken lunch to Joan and Ray. This is the first time we had actually seen her, and she looked bad. She's a very on-the-go 70 year old, but she was bruised and weak and sunken and yellowish, I thought. They showed us pictures of the car, and Jill and I both left a little weak in the knees and sick feeling. The guard rail went through the driver side light and came out on the passenger side back/side window of the van. It's a miracle it didn't literally slice her in half. Apparently what she did was hit the gas instead of the brake in her panic and swerving. It took them an hour and a half to extract her from the car. It was a sick mess, and she is truly lucky to be alive. She has a long way to go to be anything near what she was. It really hits home how much life can change in one minute's time.

Thanks for sharing our party day with us. Wish you all could have joined us!

Cute party pics, you guys always have great get-togethers.

One other thing I forgot to mention:
About a month ago, Trent got a call about a job offer here in Nashville. He's been talking to the company off and on, and he decided to take the job. So, when he came home for Bella's party, he brought with him all of his belongings - and Tanya - and he's here to stay! :cool1:

Or at least to try out this new adventure. :)
He really liked Florida, and he met so many new people. He hated leaving the clients he had come to know so well, but he missed home, too. He wasn't looking to leave. This offer just came out of nowhere and all fell into place, so it seemed like a good thing to at least try out.

I hope it works out very well for him. It seems like a good opportunity for him to use his degree and do something he loves.

Now we'll see if Tanya can get used to TN living. ;)

He or she (or both) could end up back in the Sunshine State, but for now they're going to enjoy the hills of Tennessee.

Happy Birthday Bella! :bday: The party looked like it was a great time.

And I love your new flooring and the stove! Good choices Memom!

saw the pics on facebook too....it looked like a great party! Happy 2nd Birthday Bella! I got some ideas using cookie cutters for the food I think...only I will be using Mickey Head cookie cutters for our food! And I saw on disneyshopping that there is Mickey Mouse shaped macaroni that you can buy...so I might buy some of that and have my grandma take the noodles and make her hommade macoroni and cheese or just use it for pasta salad or something....I have about 6 months to decide....lol!
