Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

I'm so sorry to hear about Jarvis's Mom. He and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Does anyone know if there is any significance to those names, and especially to the fruitiness of them? I have to think there is a story behind them, because with Disney, there always is. The backstories interest me.

I want to get this pin in July, not only because of the Disney historical memory, since the name has changed, but because Bella loves the 'hoesies' so much. I am puzzled, though, because they always spelled Carrousel with two r's, and on this, there is only one.

IMG_0861.jpg

Hmmm the backstories interest me too. I would say imagineers but the "fruity" context may mean something else.

I see that is a 40th anniversay pin. Did they not change the name to Prince Charming Regal Carrousel????? Scoop that pin up it is actually not right!!!:scared1: On top of what might be a spelling error????

I, too, would love to see some blue skies and warm weather (palm trees would be nice, too). It has been at least a week since we had any sunshine.

Did you see the pictures of the Kennedy Space Center with the storm clouds overhead from yesterday??? Very scary looking!!!

I am cracking up over the ewok in the Star Tours seat pin. :lmao:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Cinderella Golden Carousel pin! If it is still there in May, I will certainly scoop it up! The Carousel has always been a favorite of mine, and I have actually ridden every horse! My mom took me back in Sept of 1982, back when off season meant that the parks were empty! I was five and infatuated with the carousel, and we spent one afternoon riding it over and over again until I had ridden EVERY horse.

My mom loves telling that story and says that it is one of her favorite Disney memories. I think I am so lucky to have as Mom so patient as to spend an entire afternoon on a carousel! :lovestruc

Thank you, MeMom, so much for posting that picture!

Wow, you've got a busy day in front of you! Hope you aren't too exhausted from it to enjoy the party.

I  the Great Movie Ride, thanks for taking me there this afternoon!

I'm very excited right now! My mom got Red Sox tickets for the game on my birthday! :dance3: I'm going with her and my cousin! And we're definitely meeting up with Meg and possibly Charles before the game :cool1: My cousin and Meg met during our mall food court DIS meet last year and they're excited to see each other again too :)

As Meg mentioned, it snowed in this area last night :sad2: A bunch of kids from my school started posting on facebook that we had a one hour delay today. I believed it until I checked the news. Apparently it was a senior prank for April fool's day! I didn't get the message that went out to most of the seniors. I was so confused :rotfl:

Enjoy your busy day! Thanks for taking the time to take us along to Hollywood for a little bit this morning. I am super excited for the new Star Tours ride!! Very cool pins!

Jill and I are excited about Star Tours, too. It's going to be a very popular ride when we go back this summer.

Good luck today! I hope you can get everything done!

It will all look so good when you are finished!

It's going to be a fun weekend!

Lexi is really looking forward to the new Star wars ride.

I would love to be sitting on a bench gazing up at swaying palm trees in the sun at HS...instead of going to work...blah...

Put your Disney music on and in no time everything will be clean and in it's place.

The floor is finished! :cool1:
I have a pretty stove, too. :cool1:The range hood has to be changed one day next week, because when he pulled it out, it ended up being off white instead of white.

My dryer dries clothes in ten minutes. The old dryer took about three rounds of an hour. Amazing things are happening here. ;)

I listened to Disney music in the car as I was running my thousand errands, and I am listening to it now as I type. :goodvibes

I still have a few things left to do, like put things back on the walls and put a few last boxes somewhere. Not sure where, though.

Thinks for the picture of the palm trees, it is 40 outside and not springlike at all here in our piece of Ga. I wish I was in line for rope drop anywhere at Disney.

Good luck with cleaning the house today. A fun , fun, fun weekend is about to follow. We want pictures of your new kitchen and bathroom.

After the AKL picture gets here, I'll try to get a decent picture of the bathroom. I'm going to have to hold off on the new tub surround, though, because all the little things around the house added up to more than I thought.

You'll be able to see the kitchen in party pictures tomorrow. :thumbsup2

My friend moved to Orlando a few months ago, and a girl I used to work with is doing the College Program, and both wrote on Facebook yesterday about the awful weather. One lost power, and the coworker on the WDWCP posted a picture around noon -- it was sooooo dark! It looked like it was approaching nighttime, not noontime. It started snowing here last night, when Charles and I were at the hockey game, and by the time we got back to the station we parked at, my car was covered enough to need to be brushed off. Luckily I keep that brush in my car nearly year-round. Right now it looks like barely an inch of gross, slushy stuff, and it's supposed to hit 50 tomorrow so I am sure it will all be gone. I am so ready for spring weather!

I for some reason had no idea that they did the jedi training academy during non-SWW times (I know, I know, bad DIS'er.) Charles LOVES Star Wars and would freak out over getting to see Darth Vader in person!

Trent said he lost power, too. He went to a friend's house for a while, and about half hour after he got back, the lights came back on.

I'm with you - come on spring!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Jarvis's Mom. He and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

He Facebooked that he was weighing in for his competition a little while ago. He's a good guy, and I know he will appreciate all the good thoughts as he heads home on Sunday.

We need a Hollywood tour to tell us about all the behind the scenes stuff.

I was surprised at the pin. Like you, when I saw Cinderella instead of Prince Charming, I thought that was different. I'll probably call it Cinderella's for a while. I'm not used to it belonging to PC yet. ;)

I, too, would love to see some blue skies and warm weather (palm trees would be nice, too). It has been at least a week since we had any sunshine.

The sun peeked out for us today. Yay!
I am hoping for a pretty party day tomorrow.

What a good Mom!
I loved when it stopped and Bella looked at me, cocked her head to the side, and said, 'Gee-yun?". Yep, we'll do it again and again and again just because I love you so incredibly much. :cutie:

You have to get that pin after that story. You can get it on Disney Store online.

Wow, you've got a busy day in front of you! Hope you aren't too exhausted from it to enjoy the party.

I  the Great Movie Ride, thanks for taking me there this afternoon!

If I had not taken off today, I would be very far behind. Drew did yard work and moved big stuff, and I took care of a million smaller things.

Hooray for another DIS meet! :yay:

I hope your snow goes away quickly.

I get that same guy every time I go on that ride!

I believe I have had him more than once, as well. :goodvibes

Another quick batch, while I sit for a while.

Jill, Kay, and Brooklynn went to ride Toy Story Midway Mania with the Fastpasses we had gotten that morning when we had left Kay at Pop curling her eyelashes.

IMG_0865.jpg

Because of her eyelashes, someone had to sit out.
I couldn't go in and beat them all in the midway games. :rolleyes1

Just funnin'.
I could never beat anyone.

Well, maybe Bella.

Maybe. :)

IMG_0866.jpg

I guess Imagineers don't play Scrabble, huh? I want to move a letter onto that pink box every time I pass there. :upsidedow

And I probably tell you about it every time, too.

IMG_0867.jpg

They did see Ed.

I was going to go in here,

IMG_0868.jpg

but I had the stroller and a tired Bella. I knew she couldn't take walking, so we opted for an Itzakadoozie to cool her off and pass the time.

IMG_0869.jpg

She almost fell asleep 'mid-kadoozie'.

IMG_0870.jpg

When they finished the ride, Brooklynn got a kadoozie, too.

IMG_0871.jpg

Now where to?

IMG_0873.jpg

Where did I take this? :rolleyes1

I always want to move the tiles around too! When I was home recovering, I played SO much Scrabble with my parents and DBF, it was like our constant go-to activity .

And despite all of my Scrabble practice, he STILL almost always wins! (I think I've won maybe once against him...but I do put up a good fight! lol)

First, I was so sorry to hear about Jarvis's mom. I've been holding him in my thoughts and prayers.

She almost fell asleep 'mid-kadoozie'.

Too stinkin' cute! We have a similar photo of a certain beautiful toddler who actually nodded off mid-McNugget one time!

Where did I take this? :rolleyes1

Ooooh, did you get the grapefruit cake? The last time we had an ADR there, I had to cancel bcz everyone was too tuckered out that night. :sad1: Upside: Instead of calling to cancel, I popped over in person -- and got me some cake to go. Yum!

I'm glad you took today off to tidy the nest before tomorrow. How much fun you'll all have!

Judging by your name, you would not appreciate the plastic bugs I found in the dollar bins at Target yesterday.

Where in Tennessee are you?

Sorry MeMom, I've been MIA. I am getting caught up tonight.

Yes, those plastic ones give me the chills too!! :rotfl:

I am outside of Memphis.

Oh, boy, if Charles ever saw that Scrabble board, that would probably be the first, or at least one of the first, things he would notice -- he would be so bothered by it! :rotfl:

I see Christine told you about our DIS meet! I am trying to get Charles to come but he's like me and pretty shy/nervous when meeting new people, and being put into social situations with them, but Christine and I also discussed daytrips over the summer, like a whale watch, and there is no way he would ever miss out on one of those. We're also definitely going to meet up with Katie and Patrick over the summer again, too. It may not look or feel like spring, let alone summer, but I am already making and super excited for plans!

Thanks for the Great Movie Ride and a walk around... I drove to work in snow today...it was gone in a couple of hours, but still! Can't wait to see those palm trees!

I am getting super excited for the house pictures! I hope you had a great party.

Good for you, it all got done and you even had time to put in a little trip update. :thumbsup2

It's party day!

Happy Birthday Bella! party:

I hope you enjoy the fun games, yummy cake, gifts at your party!

I can't wait to see what you and BrooklynnsMommy have come up for decoration and see the cake creation.

Should be very nice time with all of your family all together again.

:dance3: paw: paw: paw: :dance3:

I love to play, but my kids will never play with me. :sad1:

I teach my kids at school how to play at the beginning of every year. It takes them a while to understand the full concept that every letter that is touching must form a word, but by the end of the year, I have some fairly decent Scrabble players, for eight year olds. :thumbsup2

When Brooklynn is a little older, I'll teach her how to play. ::yes::

Another nice tour, keep it up!

Always glad to take you on a Disney ride with us, Dad. One of these days, our paths will cross, and we'll do a Disney ride together. We'll let all the kids decide which one. :thumbsup2 As long as it's not Mission:Space, I'm in. :)

I never thought of going in to get a 'to go' cake. We didn't eat there. I just snagged a picture. We have not eaten there yet, but will one of these days. I'm liking the idea of a take out grapefruit cake, though.

I got much accomplished yesterday. Everything that still doesn't have a home or needs to be hung up is on the kitchen table, so we'll get that done today. We're not partying until this everning, luckily.

Sorry MeMom, I've been MIA. I am getting caught up tonight.

I am outside of Memphis.

Memphis.
Home of the Memphis Zoo,
Graceland,
a Disney Store.....

and the Eiffel Tower!

(I sure hope you've seen Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.)
;) :sulley:

Have you ever given It's Tough to be a Bug a try, or is that just too much for you? I admit to never going on Mission:Space due to the claustrophobia, and I doubt I ever will.

With Disney's attention to detail, I just wonder why they didn't do it correctly.

Probably to drive people like me - and Charles - crazy! :crazy2:

Oh, man, I'd love to go on a whale watch! :yay:

I am getting super excited for the house pictures! I hope you had a great party.

Palm trees against a blue sky = happiness. :cool1:

My house still compares in comparison to most of yours, but it's a great improvement for us. Jill and John really like the floor when they saw it, and they're thinking of doing that in their house.

Now I'm very curious about those names! Somebody has to figure it out!!

We'll put Lou Mongello on it. He's got the whole series of Magic Kingdom CD's that tell details. He could do another set for us. Maybe I'll write in and ask.

Good for you, it all got done and you even had time to put in a little trip update.

This morning, we will take turns keeping the girls and doing our errands. When John's dad gets here, they're going to put a screen door in my backyard door. Jill has to decorate the cake, and some mix of us has to shop for party food. We're going to see Joan and Ray and take some lunch to them. Then we'll get back here for naps and getting things together for this evening. It will be a fun and busy day.

******************************************

It is, indeed, party day. We have many odds and ends to take care of during the day, and we'll party this evening. I hope it will be a pretty day for being outside a little.

Trent, Tanya, and a friend (or maybe 2? I can't remember) will be driving in thiis morning. They stopped somewhere south of Atlanta for sleep.

Hope you all have a great Saturday planned. I know I will have much fun with my very favorite almost two year old birthday girl and her awesome big sister. :lovestruc

Ughhh! I never noticed that there wasn't a letter on the pink star before. Now that is really going to bother me! LOL! This is why Connor needs to be an Imagineer. He can set them straight about things like that. :lmao:

Have a fun party day today! I am looking forward to seeing all the pictures!

Happy birthday Bella! I hope the party is great. Can't wait to see pics. I have been quickly scanning the boards, but life has gotten in the way. I am so sorry about Jarvis's mom. I will keep him in my prayers. I am asking for some prayers myself. My husband, Jason, has a congenital heart defect that has never bothered him. However, now he is having some extra beats and possible mild changes to his heart. We are going to have to make the tough decision to have open heart surgery or not. He will be having a heart cath this week. Please pray that we take care of this the right way so he can be around for many years to come. By the way, if we have surgery, it will be at Vanderbilt most likely.
