Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

So sorry to hear about Jarvis's mom. Sending prayers to his family!

I think you should take Friday off! It would definitely give you more time to put things back together and you won't feel as rushed. :thumbsup2

I really hate that for Jarvis. It is always hard for those left behind. At least he can take comfort in knowing that she isn't sick or suffering anymore. I will definitely add him to my prayer list.

I do have some fantastic news to share with you though Memom! We have been having revival at our church all this week. Wednesday night was the last evening and the speaker gave his testimony which was just an amazing story that touched everyone in the sanctuary. Well, when he gave the invitation, my DD went up and asked Jesus into her heart! I was soooooo happy for her that I thought my heart would burst! It was an awesome service for sure. I have never experienced anything like that. Our church is pretty small (maybe 300 members) but it was totally packed. We had people standing up in the back and had to bring out chairs! There were MANY, MANY visitors and a lot of them were young people from our local high schools. About 200 people went up for the invitation and I'd estimate around 50 made a commitment of faith. I'm sure in large cities or really big churches, that wouldn't be an uncommon thing, but it was amazing to see in my little, rural NC town. But I am so excited for my DD and had to share that with you. She will be getting baptized sometime in April. I'll have to share a picture or two with you when it happens!

So sorry to hear about Jarvis' Mum. Hugs to him and his family. I am so glad he has you all there for him! xxx :grouphug:

I'm very sorry to hear about Jarvis's Mom. I'm sending thoughts and prayers for peace to his family and friends.

The remodel looks great! I love the way the new floors look. My parents had hardwood put in their kitchen when they did their remodel, and although I was admittedly skeptical at first, it looks great and is easy to maintain and keep clean. I was just worried about spills and inevitable kitchen messes (my dad is a superb, but really messy cook!), but it has held up great! I'm also very happy that your are getting a new stove! One of the burners doesn't work on our stove and it can be a real pain, I can only imagine how tough it would be with two on the fritz. I'm sure you have some great meals planned for its big "christening" weekend!

Sounds like you are very happy with your college choice. :)

Will your friend be sending you phone pictures? It's kind of fun to follow along like that and picture right where she is.

I am happy :) One of my best friends is going there too. My friend who's going to Disney is waiting to hear back from them(she applied after I did) but she's probably going there too. I'll be very happy to have my two best friends around. I may not have classes with them, but I'll still see them. One of them is living at home and one on campus. I already told her that if it's okay with my mom I'll give her rides home for the weekend on Fridays. That'll give me a chance to see her and it'll save her parents some gas.

No, her phone is weird and won't send or recieve pictures :sad2: But even texts will be good so I can picture where she is ;)

I was somewhat out of it last night when I was catching up here so I didn't see the post about Jarvis' mom until now. I'm so sorry to hear that

Sorry to hear about Jarvis's mom. Praying he has strength through his competition.

Loved the sneak peaks of the floor, shower curtain, and the new seating! Can't wait to see it all come together! The curtain totally looks like AKL!

Sorry to hear about Jarvis' mum

Gorgeous dresses for the girls, I loved dressing my girls the same when they were younger too.

So sorry to hear about Javis' mom...so sad..but I am glad he is going to be distracted by the competition. Prayers being sent.

Love the new flooring!!! It looks awesome! :thumbsup2

My heart goes out to Jarvis at this tough time.

I missed making it to my mom's side by mere minutes. Thankfully my stepdad was already there. She died on July 3rd and the next night some of us went to watch fireworks. I think we all felt a little weird at first doing something so "normal" but it was actually a good thing.

Enjoy your day off tomorrow even if it is working in the house. It's fun work getting ready for a party! I know you will love your floor. We got it a couple of years ago and if John would go for it I would tear all the carpet up and put it everywhere!

I'm a little slow getting here... but I made it! Now I have to go back and read this weekend!

I did just read enough to hear about Jarvis' mom... so sorry about the loss!

Sending prayers for Jarvis.
It's a very tough thing to loose a parent.

I hope he can find some comfort in all the love of his friends and family.

I wish him the best in his competition.

He must be a very strong individual. His mom would be proud. :grouphug:

I really like the new wood floors. So pretty! Looks like you have a really good start going on the remodel. Looking forward to the completed pictures. Praying for Jarvis and his family.

So sorry to hear about Jarvis' mom! :(

Enjoy your day off today, MeMom. Today is the last day before spring break for us. You wouldn't know it by the weather. Like Happydog, it has been cold and rainy here. Anyway, I can't wait to have a week off. I really need it even if it is going to be filled with things like doctors appointments, dentist appointments, orthodontist consults, and a trip to Goodwill.

Checking in for just a few minutes to say hello. I made some progress last night, but I still have a full day of 'busy-ness' ahead of me. Many things still have to be moved back into their places, pictures hung back up, the whole house has to be dusted and vacuumed, windows and mirrors cleaned, trash taken out, tub scrubbed, etc. I also have to grocery shop. There is no way (unless I had stayed up all night last night) that I could have gotten this all finished without taking off today. I battled back and forth with it at the beginning of the week, but I pretty much knew it was going to be a 'have to' by Wednesday when I saw the shape the house was in.

Here's a little more of our Hollywood Studios day.

Looking forward to this in July! :cool1:

Oh, to be back under the blue skies and palm trees!

Although, I read that they had terrible weather there yesterday.

We were in the mood for a sweeping spectacle of thrills, chills, and romance, so that led us here.

Everything was going along smoothly until we reached the bad part of town.

Does anyone know if there is any significance to those names, and especially to the fruitiness of them? I have to think there is a story behind them, because with Disney, there always is. The backstories interest me.

Off the ride and under the hat.

I want to get this pin in July, not only because of the Disney historical memory, since the name has changed, but because Bella loves the 'hoesies' so much. I am puzzled, though, because they always spelled Carrousel with two r's, and on this, there is only one.

Enjoy your busy day! Thanks for taking the time to take us along to Hollywood for a little bit this morning. I am super excited for the new Star Tours ride!! Very cool pins!

Good luck today! I hope you can get everything done! :goodvibes

It will all look so good when you are finished!

It's going to be a fun weekend! :thumbsup2

Lexi is really looking forward to the new Star wars ride.

I would love to be sitting on a bench gazing up at swaying palm trees in the sun at HS...instead of going to work...blah...:rotfl:

Put your Disney music on and in no time everything will be clean and in it's place. :cool1:

Thinks for the picture of the palm trees, it is 40 outside and not springlike at all here in our piece of Ga. I wish I was in line for rope drop anywhere at Disney.

Good luck with cleaning the house today. A fun , fun, fun weekend is about to follow. We want pictures of your new kitchen and bathroom.

My friend moved to Orlando a few months ago, and a girl I used to work with is doing the College Program, and both wrote on Facebook yesterday about the awful weather. One lost power, and the coworker on the WDWCP posted a picture around noon -- it was sooooo dark! It looked like it was approaching nighttime, not noontime. It started snowing here last night, when Charles and I were at the hockey game, and by the time we got back to the station we parked at, my car was covered enough to need to be brushed off. Luckily I keep that brush in my car nearly year-round. Right now it looks like barely an inch of gross, slushy stuff, and it's supposed to hit 50 tomorrow so I am sure it will all be gone. I am so ready for spring weather!

I for some reason had no idea that they did the jedi training academy during non-SWW times (I know, I know, bad DIS'er.) Charles LOVES Star Wars and would freak out over getting to see Darth Vader in person!
