Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

I hope your Aunt Joan's surgery goes well.

I never tried to see over the construction fence at the pool. I just remember thinking that your group would be sad not to have your pool open. I'm glad you will be back there to swim this summer.

We might do that.
Can we ride Nemo?
Can we? Can we? Huh? :goodvibes
I want to watch Seth's face.

We're planning to be there by Friday night, open MK, and if all goes well, stay until the afternoon of the 5th, which is Jill's birthday. We'd only have to take three days off of school, and we'd have all day Sa-Su-M-T and then half a day Wed. That's not set in stone, but we definitely plan to be there on the 1st.

Yes! That would be fun. And then we can all take turns watching Bella/Seth while we ride Soarin! :)

I'm noting your plans right now on my plans so I won't have to ask again. We'll definitely have to meet up. So far these are our plans for the days that you're there. Although October hours aren't out yet and these are based on last year's hours, so these could definitely change!

Saturday -
~7:00am - 5K for Dawn (I recently found out that there's a stroller division for the 5K. I might want to register for it so Seth can ride along with me. It's at AK and there are characters along the route, so I know he'd love it. But I just don't know how he'll be in the stroller at 13 months old, whether he'd be fidget-y or not. So I'm gonna call Disney and see if I can change my registration to non-stroller if I decide against it closer to time.)
~MK morning for Anna/Luke; Dawn/Seth to rest or have pool time.
~meet up at EPCOT around lunchtime; ride Nemo and Soarin' with Memom's crew ;); graze F&W Festival; dinner at Kouzzina around 6:00 (Ray may be there by that time); Anna/Luke to go back to MK for fireworks; Dawn/Seth to go back to room for an early night in.

Sunday -
~Check out of Pop, into VWL
~Breakfast at Cape May Cafe around 10:00
~Anna and Luke hit the road; Dawn, Ray & Seth enjoy resort
~DHS evening w/ dinner at Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Dining Package) and Fantasmic!

Monday -
~MK morning
~Possible breakfast at Crystal Palace around 10:00
~Seth's 1st haircut at the Main Street Barber Shop
~EPCOT to graze F&W Festival
~early night in

Tuesday -
~Free morning
~Dinner at Kona Cafe around 5:00
~MK for Wishes and MSEP (or Spectro)

Wednesday -
~Possible breakfast at 1900 Park Fare around 10:00
~Free day
~Dinner at Flying Fish around 6:00

Like I said, I'm sure those will change a million times but I'm sure we can do a few things together while we're there! :goodvibes

I'm sending up prayers for Aunt Joan. Hope she makes a speedy recovery!

The thoughts and prayers are appreciated. She is in surgery to put a rod in her leg right now, and she will have a second surgery this evening, supposedly - plastic surgery to close the gash. I'll update as I know anything.

This week, I have been working on moving all the kitchen furniture and items into the front room (Trent's old room) so the guys can come and do their work soon.

I have a lot of kitchen stuff.

I got rid of some of it. :thumbsup2

For many years, I cooked mass quantities of food for the basketball and soccer teams, and I used some of this stuff in the concession stands. I just don't need it anymore, so some went in the trash and some will go to live at church camp.

By the way, for painting my walls, I got Disney paint. Even though it's just off-white, it's Disney off-white. It's called New Day Dew. Appropriate, I think, since this is definitely a new day/time in my life getting to do some things to the house. I could have gotten cheaper paint, I'm sure, but this is the Disney line of Behr, so I know it's good, and I'll be surrounded in Disney happiness without anyone else who comes in even realizing it. :wizard:

Today, I am going to get some more Rubbermaid tubs to store all of my Disney party stuff in. This is an old house, so there is no storage space except for the attic. It's too hard to get up into the attic, so I use the back room for storage. The girls' toys are back there, though, and Bella's crib, and they need the space for when they are here. I have to figure out what to do with all of the Disney stuff to make room for the girls.

I have a lot of Disney stuff. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I don't think I'll get rid of it.
:upsidedow

That was one of the few things I said I was going to get this trip, but I kept waiting and just never did. I also want the tree ornament. However, I could use the ears for my tree topper, and then I wouldn't need the ornament. Hmmmm....I have to think about this.

I use my Minnie-Santa hat as my tree topper! We got a new (faux) tree last year and it's too tall for the Angel to fit under the roof! (oops!) so we just put the hat on top! It looks really cute! And then there are the Disney ornaments.... And for whatever reason, still the homemade ones from my childhood!:rotfl2:

Thoughts and prayers and best wishes for Aunt Joan. I hope she's doing well. She sounds like a lovely woman!

It's so nice to re-decorate and freshen things up around the house! Especially in the spring! And I know what you mean about Disney paint...I currently have "One Enchanted Evening" (a light lilac colour) on my bedroom walls and I think I like it more because it's a Disney colour! I like that title "New Day New", it sounds like a fresh start! I'm thinking about changing my bedroom up a bit...perhaps I'll have to go check things out at Home Depot! I'm glad the changes are making you so happy!:goodvibes

I'll keep Aunt Joan in my prayers. I hope she recovers quickly.

Abby brought home the 2011 Minnie - she wants to "match" her, but I couldn't find a real hoodie like Minnie is wearing. We did end up getting her that colorful peace sign Mickey shirt that matched the colors.

We didn't do a mug. I was thinking since we were on the Dining Plan and get a drink with every meal, it wouldn't be needed. But, did I miss something - could I have gotten it discounted or something? It was my first time on the dining plan so it was all new.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Joan's accident. Sending her hope for a quick recovery so she can be back to her old self

Yay for new Disney paint!! It sounds nice.

It must be tough with not much storage space. I thought when we bought this house with a cellar & under the eves space that we would never fill it up. Wrong!! With outdoor furniture in the cellar, luggage, etc we have it filled up really good.

You will need to take pics when the work is done.

Watching House Hunters on HGTV on my day off and where are the people moving? Why Huntsville Alabama! The houses they're looking at are GORGEOUS!

Sorry I missed the request for Aunt Joan last night so I'll prayer doubly hard today. I'm also praying for a pain free recovery, a rod doesn't sound like fun at all.

So glad your getting new Disney paint.

Dennis redid our front room in January and February. Its that room like Trent's room that has been so many different rooms at different times. Most recently it was Brent and Hannah's room until they moved to Texas. Now it's the nicest room in the house with fresh paint and a new laminate floor. If I ever get dining room furniture it will be a great dining room. For now it's the prettiest storage room.:cutie:

Lots of well-wishes for Aunt Joan! What you said about her reminds me a lot of my great-aunt -- she never married so she didn't have any grandchildren, but she spoiled her sister's kids, and then their kids, rotten, and quietly donated to her church to keep it up and running, and to many other places as well.

Speaking of painting, when I was planning on painting my room a while ago, I got a Disney color, too. I'm pretty sure it was called "Mickey's pants." I am also sure that when I told Charles, he just shook his head. :rotfl: Speaking of Charles, if you could keep him and his family in your thoughts, it would be very much appreciated -- they had to make the very hard decision to put down their 15 year old dog tomorrow, due to a mass on her esophagus.

And, to end this on a lighter note, my largely built, 6'5" boyfriend was absolutely loving having a baby with us yesterday, and it was hilarious. We went out with my friend Amy, who had her cousin's eight month old daughter (her goddaughter) with her. I was carrying her, and when I went to talk to a saleswoman at Kay Jeweler's about a starter chain for a bead/charm bracelet, Charles said, "Oh, I'll take her," and before I could say anything, he lifted her out of my arms! He LOVES kids and babies but tries to keep up appearances since he's such a big guy and looks like he should be tough, and not a softy easily taken in by babies. ;)

Sending lots of good thoughts and prayers for Aunt Joan that she has a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!

I know what you mean about no storage. We have 3 TINY closets in our house for 4 people. My son has no closet. I need to get rid of a lot of stuff in my house. If were only up to me I would. The other 3 members of the family do not like parting with their stuff. :headache:

I hope that Aunt Joan is doing well. Continued prayers for her second surgery this evening.

Thoughts and prayers for Aunt Joan! I hope she has a swift recovery!
Yay for getting your house updated and double Yay for the Disney Paint!
