I have absolutely loved reading this TR!!!! Such fun! You are such a great writer! I must say, your adventures sound like those I plan to have too...

My DBF and I are leaving on the 4-day this weekend. Woohoo! First vacation together so it should be interesting... We've both been on with other people, though, so we know basically what to expect. It's just so fun to come here and anticipate.

One question - where in the world do you get ginger chews??!?!?! I know that I'll definitely need them...

I got the ginger chews at World Market, but you can also get them in an Asian supermarket....I see you are from Orlando, there is a HUGE Asian market on Colonial Drive near Bumby and they will definately have them. Sometimes you can get them at health food stores too like Wholefoods or Chamberlain's. Good luck!

Erica and Lionel.....you are my husband and I 5 years ago, before we adopted our son!!! I have just discovered your report and have laughed tremendously!! I am the packing nazi, the crazy person looking for sharks, the drinking martini girl, and I do something very similar for my hangovers. We were on a RCI cruise in May and looked jealously at the DCL. We are to embark on our first DCL Jan 2008 for our 20th wedding anniversary and I can't wait. (yes, married 20 years but yet only 40) I am trying to get a large group to go, and so I took the liberty of copying your report for all of them to read. Also, I took the pic of the martinis and put it on the work computer as the back drop to get one of the girl's to come too.

Thank you for the last hour of enjoyment. I think we should meet!!!!

We booked the 9/27/08 7-day Costa Maya, which I think they are calling the "Special Western"......which, to me, sounds more like a Denny's omlette than a Disney cruise but we'll let that one slide.

And no, I'm not pregnant yet. But it isn't for lack of trying

As if I wasn't already gobsmacked enough at the prospect of my first Disney cruise, now I get to look forward to being on the same voyage with The Almighty Trip Report Goddess herself. Terribly exciting... and a bit daunting as well, because I *know* my family is a rich source of material.

BTW...booking the cruise for 9/27 will ensure that you become pregnant...oh I say right about NOW. On a ship at 8-1/2 months...could be interesting.

Thank you both very much! I am glad you enjoyed it. I'll be starting a pre-TR soon for our September blowout.....and there may even be another mini cruise in there somewhere if we can convince the parental units to give it a try!
