GCH ?'s

In August I'll be staying at the GCH for the first time. I booked a Downtown Disney view with an AP discount. I hope the views are good. Does anyone suggest any particular floor level or room. Also is concierge worth paying extra? It is just my wife and I going for a couple of days. One last question has anyone used their spa services?

Mickey 7 you will have such a good time. . .

1. Fourth or fifth floor is nice for views.

2. I like the rooms, I think maybe in the "X010-x020"??? range (3011, 4011) etc. These are theme park view rooms, great views of DCA, very close to the elevator, the lobby, etc.

3. I don't mind paying the overly expensive price for GCH, because we love, love, love that hotel, and staying there absolutely makes the trip for us. That being said, I personally don't think the extra $150 bucks per night for concierge is worth it. For the three of us, we can get a character breakfast downstairs AND all the snacks we can eat AND a drink in the lovely Hearthstone Lounge AND a souvenir!!!!! For the two of you, you can add dinner to what I listed above!

4. I haven't used their spa. I can get spa at home. At DL, I want Mickey!!!

We stayed at the Grand Californian earlier this month with the Downtown Disney view. We loved it! You can see the fireworks from your bed - the view is so great! It does put you far away from the elevator though (in case that's an issue). We were on the 5th floor - room #5151. It was nice to be on the 5th floor because you don't have anyone walking over your head (although I don't know if this is a problem at this hotel).
