GCH room recommendations

Aloha,

Sorry if this has been asked before...unable to find it discussed...

What are your GCH room recommendations and why? Appreciate y'alls help, guidance and wisdom.

FYI. Have a family of four including two teenagers. DD will be periodically attending events at the Hilton. Have always stayed at DLH...but currently looking at GCH for July 2015 due to proximity of Hilton compared to DLH. Will enjoy military discount.

Short answer:
Request a room near the elevators adjacent to Napa Rose
(this will allow convenient access to the DCA entrance)

Longer answer:
I am a fan of GCH (and VGC), but it might not be the best choice for your family. The rooms are the smallest of the 3 on-site hotels. Most rooms have 2 queen beds, so your teenagers will need to share. Sleeping bags are available, but no roll-away beds. Rooms with 2 queens and a daybed are very rare at GCH, but common at DLH and PPH.

PPH has the shortest walking distance to the Hilton, but there is very little difference between all 3 hotels (relative to the overall walk).

FYI: Disneyland 60th anniversary is July 17 2015, expect huge crowds if your visit includes that day.
