I made our reservations through Costco Travel today! We're booked Dec. 12 -16 (4th night free) at the GCH. At the last minute we decided to splurge and booked the park view, consierge level rooms.

I've read a few other threads saying that they liked the Grizzly Peak view. Do I request rooms through Costco, or do I call the hotel direct? Do any of you have a specific room number for that view that we can request?

Does anyone know the hours that snacks are available? I know it's a seperate room, not sure if it's open all night.

Is there a laundry room available in the hotel?

Thanks! :wave2:

Wow -- concierge! Lucky you! I can't tell you about the service, but I believe this should put you on the top (6th) floor.

Twice I called the hotel directly around 3 days in advance and requested Grizzly Peak, highest available floor. One of the times I also had a "Grizzly Peak view" request also noted on the reservation. Both times I got great rooms. Once we were on the 5th floor above the DCA entrance. There are 6 floors in many places, but this was the top floor where we were. Another time we were on the 4th floor around the same area. We loved the view and location.

This is a great sticky thread on the GCH.

Check out the hotel layout link.

There is a nice laundry room. When we used it, there was little competition for the washers and dryers.

December before the crowds is a fabulous time to go! You'll have a great time!
