GCH -is there room for a fullsize crib?

My sister's wedding is this September at the DLH and we've decided to stay at the GCH since the rates are so great (better than what is offered by Disney Weddings), plus it's convenient since that's where the reception is being held.

Anyway my question -I've read that the GCH has pack'n plays in their rooms which is great but I would rather have my son (almost 12 months) sleep in a fullsize crib so we have decided to rent one (from baby's away). Having never stayed at the GCH I'm not sure if it will even fit in the room comfortably, can anyone offer any insight, or maybe is there a specific room configuration we should try to request?

We found the Grand's rooms to be rather small. I can't even imagine pulling out the pack and play, let alone a big crib. But we've never done either, so I don't *know*.

Make sure that it's OK for you to be booking your own...often for weddings, you *have to* have a certain number of rooms filled, or they'll charge the couple the cost of those rooms. I'm not sure if Disney Weddings does it that way, but if you haven't checked, please do make sure. I'm sure you would hate to cost your sister money that yielded nothing (meaning, for an unused room).

Thanks Bumbershoot, I had a feeling that was the case.

We will probably just go ahead and rent some bedrails for him and he can sleep on the next bed. Or else maybe I will *see* if we can request a room with bunkbeds and then he could sleep on the trudle park (which if I remember correctly it is basically on the ground). Either way I'm sure we'll figure something out.

As for wedding rooms, there are no "blocks" of rooms put aside, Disney does things a bit different in that regard, there is no obligation if your guests don't stay onsite. They offer discounted rates at all of the Disney hotels so it's really up to the guests to decide if they want those rates or if they would rather save a few bucks and go offsite (which we were going to do originally, we love the Hojo but this time we'd rather stay onsite). The only real discount you want from them is for the parkhopper passes you save around $20 per person on a 3 day.

They aren't comfortable; my son won't sleep in one now so I can't see him sleeping in one for 5 nights.

Not to mention the fact that they are almost never cleaned, I could purchase a coverplay to go over it, and I may still, just so I have somewhere to contain him while he plays but for sleeping I'd rather co-sleep or put him in the other bed with rails.

That makes sense. I was just curious what the specific problem was you were trying to solve in case i thought of any other ideas for you.
