GC in Sept booked!!

I am booked for Sept 23rd -25th at GC. I've stayed a few times for this time of year at the Grand. When I booked last week they had standard rooms and premium rooms. Now I see they only have suites left. Same goes for the week of Sept. 13th. I checked for conventions during our stay and the MHP doesn't start till the day we check out. I thought it should be dead during this time since we are mid week. Any idea why? Thanks!!

Dappers Days and the discounted rates that go with it is the weekend before.

I paid 385 for my standard room for wed and Thursday night. Now it shows only a one bedroom suite for 827 a night left for Wednesday night and a premium view at 530 for Thursday night. I'm just worried to as why the hotel is sold out. When I usually go midweek at this time it's usually dead. I can move my dates if there is something going on. I figured since Dapper Days will be the weekend before that people would be gone by Wednesday.

Friday the 25th is also the first Halloween Party of the year.

Dapper Day is Friday Sept 18 and the promos for the rooms are for the period the week before and the week after. The Dapper Day room rates for a standard GCH room is $254. You could save money if you could change your room reservations to Dapper Day rates. It may be too late but you could call and try, just say that you are participating in Dapper Day and would like their convention rates.

They wouldn't let me switch since there are no rooms left and I booked through orbitz
I'm thinking about switching days since it might be busy from dapper days. I can go wed 9/9 thru Fri 9/11. What do you all think?

The Gay Days rate starts on Sept 23, although the event is Oct 2-4.
Dapper Day and Gay Days are only 2 weeks apart, creating an overlap of discounted rooms. These two events have the lowest onsite rates, so it's not surprising rooms are sold out.
