Excuse me if this info is posted- I did a brief check, with no luck...

We will be taking our boys (nearly 2yr and 4yr) on their first Disneyland trip and expect that we'll need a daily break to our room (we'll be at the Grand Californian) - does the hotel offer a Disney movie channel, or 'on demand' type movies.
I'm sure they have newer release pay-per-view: but I'm hoping for classic/family favorite Disney fare to show the boys (similar to what we enjoyed on our Disney Cruise).

Thanks for any input-

We just bring a few DVD's and plug them in. Never had the time to watch the tube or really see what was offered. Sorry.

They used to have a station that showed classic Disney cartoons that DD LOVED watching. Some old Pluto's, Lambert, Hiawatha...

I am pretty sure they still have that station, at night, every 20 minutes or so a princess comes on and tells a bedtime story too...

This is actuallly a sore spot for me with the GCH. We have stayed 5 times in the past (August 09 was last stay) and will be there in 3 weeks. We have DD4 and DD1.5

Unless, we missed some channels....the GCH seems to have a few Disney advertisement channels (on the time shares, the parks and other Disney vacations), they have the Disney channel that seemed to be the East Coast versions..so by 9:00am all the "playhouse Disney" shows were over for the day and night. They had a channel that had a princess tell a good night story...one princess each night telling the same story over and over every 15 minutes (when the story is over at 12 minutes into it..the screen says "coming up.....". They rotate for three nights and then repeat. They do not have Nick channels (wonder why?). They have a PBS channel that switches off at 9:00am for the day. I have never found a DIsney cartoon channel offered, but would love it if they did. We have a really hard time finding anything for them to watch while back at the hotel after napping, or during a break before dinner or while winding down before bed. We tend to go to the park later in the morning and stay later...so even in the mornings there isn't much to watch for the kids. We do bring some of our own DVD's. I think Disney could so easily upgrade the channels for their resorts and run cartoons, movies, NEW and MORE princess good night stories ( I think I have those memorized), tape the parades and shows during different seasons, etc. I love the GCH and Disney, but it is a pet peeve of mine. Obviously they don't want you to hang out in your room...
