Gaylord Palms :( I wanted to Love it!

Just back from a weekend stay at the Gaylord Palms Resort.

We booked and received the Disboard rate for $109. We were given an atrium view with 2 queen beds. We arrived at the hotel early and our room wasn't ready yet. However, there were people getting rooms on both sides of me. (Could it be that I was only paying $109 so therefore I had to wait?)

So we went off to EPCOT and they called me by 10:30 that the room was ready. We continued on with our day and got back to the hotel by 8pm.

We were wiped and just showered and wanted to enjoy the atrium view that was incredible could have sat there all night.

So I pull down the sheets of the bed and WHAT: there is a bobbie pin in the sheets!!! THEY DIDN'T CHANGE THE SHEETS oH I WAS FIT TO BE TIED. I called down and told them it was just unacceptable to me, and the man agreed with me. He said there would be someone to change the sheets right away! Well and hour later I had to call again because no one had come yet. He was shocked and came himself to change them for us.


So when checkout time came this morning yes, The resort fee was supposed to be included in the price according to the confirmation e-mail I recived from Dreams Unlimited but there it was on my bill. Went down to the front desk and was told no everyone pays the resort fee. The manager came out and I explained how it was on our confirmation that the fee was included. She said she did not think that was the case but would waive the fee. I told her she should contact Dreams unlimited and tell them that information.


So It is now clear to me to stick with Disney Properties as I have done for the past 15 years. I will not be back to the Palms again.

Yes, I have sent them an e-mail. I thought they should know about the resort fee charge for future reservations.
