Hi Everyone! Im super excited to be going to Disneyland soon for Gay Days. I have a question has anyone ever upgraded their Gay Days ticket to a Annual Pass? Is it possible to upgrade these discounted tickets?

Don`t expect to get an AP at a discount. My guess is you will be charged the full price of the AP minus whatever you paid for your tickets. I don`t know if you can upgrade convention tickets but I would think you can.

There should have been terms and conditions listed when you purchased the ticket. Maybe go back to the website and read through the T&C to know exactly what you are entitled to with that special convention ticket as far as "upgrade" goes. Also, I've found Disney's convention line to be very helpful in getting my Dapper Day trip planned so I would also call them with your question and see if they have any insight.

Unless the tickets say not upgradeable (which usually means they are comped), you can upgrade them.

However you will lose any discount you got for them. There is no ticket bridging at DLR. So, whatever the discounted price you bought them for is what would be applied toward the AP.

I think it depends what your ticket actually looks like. If it's identical to the regular park admission tickets, you may be credited with the full value of the ticket, even if it was purchased at a discount. That's what happened with us. We'd gotten our tickets from ticketsatwork.com, discounted about 10%. Exchanged the voucher at the ticket booth, got standard park tickets. When we upgraded them to APs, we were given full value for them, because there was nothing on the tickets that indicated that they'd been discounted. Saved us about $100. I wouldn't count on that happening, but I'm sure we are not the only ones who've ever experienced that.

This is the language from the Gay Days ticket purchase link, not sure if it directly applies but it's the closest I could find -

"If your plans have changed and you now wish to visit a theme park on a day that your ticket is not valid, you are able to upgrade towards a Retail price ticket at any Disneyland® Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booths, Theme Park Guest Relations locations and Front Desk or Lobby Concierge at Disneyland® Resort Hotels.

Tickets are nonrefundable, but amount of unused ticket may be applied towards new, equal or higher value ticket purchase at current prices. Tickets may not be downgraded to a ticket with less entitlements. No credit or refund will be given if a higher season ticket is used on a lower season date."

Also, see you there! I'll be attending my second Gay Days weekend this year, can't wait!
