Gave something to someone for free, now they are selling it?

You know what - I feel so bad for the woman who came here who posted the tv - I don't blame her at ALL for being angry. You folks should be ASHAMED of yourselfs (those who contacted her!). You are taking a one-sided story - that now appears to be WRONG and contacted someone about it!? I'm sorry, but that's not fair, and you are ALL showing your lack of maturity.

I don't blame her a BIT for coming here and defending herself! This would tick me off too!

GROW UP PEOPLE!

I think its more the way she 'defended' herself. The 'shouting', name calling, beeped out swearing - there are better ways of defending yourself than the way she did it in my opinion.

wow....okay unless the people contacting you are contacting everyone who viewed your craig's list posting there is no way it could cost you a sale. If I was emailed about this thread and it wasn't me I wouldn't be concerned...unless of course it was all true. If it wasn't who cares? Some stranger is offended at their coworker because you put up a TV and you got some extra email due to mistaken identity. But instead you think zomg...the worlds is ending and I don't understand the true meaning of slander and I plan to be suing her for all I got even though this will actually cost me nothing.

I look forward to laughing at you on Judge Judy.

If I got this mad at unsolicitated email I'd be seriously raging 24/7, just now I got one about cheap cialis....what are they trying to say about my husband! I'm suing for slander!!!!

HONESTLY- She's not the only person in Washington who has a TV!!!! This woman just wants attention on this board, because she doesnt have anything better to do with herself!

Is it at all possible that she's not even talking about you?

You really should settle down before you give yourself an aneurysm.

Once you give something to someone it becomes theirs to do what they wish with it. I had a similar experience when I gave a table to sister in law. We rented a trunk at a cost of $80 to drive an hour away to give her diningroom table and chairs. She sold them a month later for $500. WE could have sold it but felt that she needed it more then we needed the money. Lesson learned. We now say.......Would you like this? But if you decide to get rid of it would you mind returning to us?

I wouldnt THINK of trying to sell it, as I didnt pay for it in the first place.
Why not???? I often sell things after we have used them even if they were a gift. I sell outgrown clothes and toys my DS no longer plays with and some of them were gifts. I'd prefer that someone sell my gift and use the money to buy something they really wanted then just donate it. At least they are getting something from the gift.
My thoughts, exactly...:thumbsup2

If she had just come on and said:

I think there's been a misunderstanding. I put the TV on craig's list but I bought it myself and through sheer fluke we also lost the remote. Luckily you didn't pester your co-worker about it, and I'm sure his daughter is enjoying it :)

Instead we got a post like it was some sort of intentional personal attack that came off a little unbalanced. Anyways I'll stop poking them now:)

Hey don't try and be the voice of reason ! Continue on people.... :lmao: popcorn::

Ack! What was I thinking. Sorry. I had a non-DIS moment there. Perimenopause and all that.

So, WHICH Seattle Craislist listing are either of these two people talking about?

Is it THIS listing for a "Pink T.V."
http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/ele/1050703099.html

In which the listing does say it's a Disney TV (with no remote) but does not call it a Princess TV:

Pink T.V.

For sale is this Disney Television must go to a new home. Retails for much more but since my daughters have misplaced the remote I am selling for less. If remote is found during our move, I will contact buyer and give the remote for no additional charge.

Thanks!

Or is it THIS listing for "Disney T.V. - $50"
http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/for/1050084438.html
which does include the word Princess, but not calling the TV that. This TV is also missing the remote. :scratchin
. . .and the picture looks oddly alike. :confused3

Disney T.V. - $50

Give your Princess buttercup everything that she has dreamed of for only 60.00 bucks! This television retails for much more but since we have not found the remote yet I am selling for less!

Thanks!

Whoooooa relax folks... people come to discussion boards to ask a question. If OP made a mistake about the listing of a TV, take a deep breath, a real buyer is not going to know about the drama:flower3:

And the poster momof3iswrong doesn't even have the same kind of tv ;) What's up with that?

It is the same TV. I just did not give the correct BRAND/TYPE verbetum. I know what kind of TV I had, and I know the one I saw on Craigslist. They are the same.

Ive already told that "female single mom of 5" that if I was wrong, I apologize.

I certainly never meant for this to get so out of control, let alone for him/her to be "harrassed" by anyone.

So I humbly spoke to my co-worker (the accused) and he swears up and down its not HIM selling it. However, he did say that it was missing from his daughters room as of last night.

Without going into further detail because I can't....this is not over with.

AGAIN....still not pointing fingers at anyone.

I like the second one because they lure you in with the $50 price, then it's actually $60 :rotfl:

Princess TVs=drama

this might go to the top ten craziest threads:laughing:

Momof3iswrong, do you have a turtle in your sandbox and eat corn right from the can?

So Co-worker's DD is missing the TV. . . and now "female single mom of 5" has one instead and is selling it? :scratchin

My goodness you are really upset over something that really is so simple, just disregard all other emails and sell you tv and move on, no one knows you from Adam, so no harm really done.

Don't bring Adam into this. What if that turns out to be the co-worker's actual name?!?

:lmao:

Wow! I just read this thread and don't see how it has survived. More passion over a tiny TV than Obama / Bush... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
