Gaucho Oatmeal Peanutbutter cookie recipe???

I'm going crazy, can anyone help??. My DH wants me to make him a favorite cookie from his childhood. They are Gauchos, I think nabisco made them. They are an oatmeal sandwich cookie with a peanutbutter filling. I've searched and searched and can't find anything. Anyone?? Thanks so much in advance, I knew if anyone could help it would be you guys.

I'm sorry I don't have a recipe for you - but those were my absolute favorite cookies too!! I had forgotten what the name was until you posted. The closest I've come is to buy the cookies from the Girl Scouts. I forget the name of them and they aren't as good, but they are better than nothing! What was the name of the same type of cookie but were fudge??
