Hi everyone

We are looking at flying from Gatwick next April and have never been there before, the flight we are looking at leaves at noon so to save rushing in the morning I thought it would be nice to have an overnight stay at an airport hotel.

Can anyone recommend a hotel, and parking please?

Does anyone know also, if it's possible to use your Tesco vouchers for anything at Gatwick?

We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza a few times now and it's really nice. There's a pool too so you could go for a swim before the flying out. Breakfast is also good.

We've also stayed at the Yotel, but if you don't have an early flight, I probably wouldn't go for that one. Not exactly the place you'd be spending loads of time.

Hilton uses the Tesco vouchers:thumbsup2

We are staying at The Courtyard Marriott which is at the South Terminal in September. It is costing us £129 for a room the night before with parking. We booked direct with the hotel and dont pay until we arrive on the day. I think it is a bit of a walk to the terminal or you can get a bus. It was built last year and looks really nice and comfortable

Thanks! :goodvibes Do you know if they have airport parking there too?

TBH we would probably walk as the kids could get tired out! ;)
Thanks for your recommendations! :)

We always use the Hilton and pay with our Tesco Vouchers. (Its ok to stay there just one night instead of the usual 2).

The Tesco price includes breakfast, but no parking (as far as I know - we always get a lift so no need for us to park). The breakfast is fab - fruit/cereal/meals/and cooked.

Last time we used about £30 in vouchers and then about £10 in cash on top.

We've always had early flights up to now, so a quick eat and off, but our next one isnt until lunchtime so hopefully make it a much longer breakfast... :rotfl:

Previously we have checked cases in and then gone back for breakfast.

The rooms are great - great size and wonderfully clean.

Works a treat for us :thumbsup2

Crowne Plaza has parking too. Usually it's cheapest to book directly through the website (www.ichotelsgroup.com). Sometimes it can be a better deal to book through websites like Holiday Extras if going through a cashback website like Topcashback or Quidco.
For example, I checked for a 1 night stay in August with 15 nights parking (meet and greet at the airport) was £158. When you go to the website and look at the prices, make sure you click on "hotel packages" to see all the parking options :)

We stay at the Hilton on clubcard vouchers too :goodvibes

It includes a nice breakfast but you can not get the parking packages.

For parking check the usual holiday extras etc but also check the Gatwick aiport website as they sometimes do good prices on the short stay car park - which is nice and convient as you pop your overnight bag back in the car before the flight.

We use twlight check in and then next morning it is bag in the car & straight through security :thumbsup2

The Hilton is very handy if you are flying from the South terminal - it's connected so no transfers necessary, but since we fly from the north terminal, we use the Sofitel which is connected by a short walkway. I would prefer the Sofitel if I had to choose, but the Hilton is a nice hotel, with the added advantage that you can use your Tesco vouchers!

Hiya -
another vote for the Hilton on Tesco vouchers- it really makes a fabulous start to the trip!!

We always get National Express to the airport, so don't use parking - travelling home by car after not sleeping well on a night flight and loaded with jet lag (and 2 kids - by now whinging they are tired) does not make for a safe 4 hour journey, so we coach it instead. Set the alarm on the watch for 20 min from home and sleep....
