This would be great news for us!! We will be driving from Iowa and I have been worried about the gas prices lately. Just wanted to subscribe in case this is true.
Maybe we can all just car pull . I will be there Oct. 8-13 for my honeymoon. I'm sure my wife wouldn't mined since she does'nt know where we are going anyway .
I don't know whether it was an official discount, but when I was there last weekend, regular gas was $2.83 a gallon on Disney property. For me that was a good price. It was $2.99 at that time here near Daytona, and we saw $3.19 outside the park.
Disney's press releases and interviews for their latest quarterly filing indicated no discounting and stated that the gas prices did not appear to be impacting Disney visitors...
One of my kittens erased what I had typed before I submitted.
The gas on property at Disney is always a good 5 cents per gallon cheaper than the majority of surrounding stations. I always will fill up my take when I am on property to save a few cents.
Yes, last weekend was $2.83 for regular, on local station by me had just dropped to $2.89, but the majority remained at $2.99 until they dropped to $2.89 the beginning of the week!
What was reported in our area was that there are several hotels and tourist areas (I think Six Flags was mentioned as well) that are offering discounts if you show a gas receipt. They ended the story with "there was no word from Disney if they will be offering any discounts" (or something along those lines).

There is also a gas station across the street from the BoardWalk resort.
Remember, though, that some of the rental car agencies are requiring you fill up, before returining your vehicle, within three or seven miles of the airport. Nothing on WDW property qualifies.

We have always found the Hess stations on property to be offering the same prices or maybe a penny more than the stations here at home (Clearwater area).
