It is cheaper than what I found on Amazon. It depends if you think you will be using the HR monitor. I use the 201 and also use a Polar HR monitor. There is a bit of "equipment" I have strapped myself into, but I love using the HR monitor too.
So, can't really say as far as 201 vs 301, but the price seems good.
