Garmin 205 - can you toggle between intervals & pace?

I'm training for the Princess Half using run/walk intervals from the MfM book.

I can't figure out how to see my overall time or current pace when using the Garmin 205 in interval mode. I'd like to be able to see my pace for the actual race so I don't start out too fast and crash and burn. Can you toggle to the main screen with time and pace in the middle of an interval workout?

If not, any suggestions on what I can do during the race? I thought of wearing my Ironman to count the intervals and using the Garmin to track pace but obviously wearing two watches is not a very desirable option.

Any ideas? TIA!

Simply use the up/down arrow keys on the right to toggle to your other screens.

I am never sure how run/walkers use a Garmie for a race. I can calculate the number of intervals I think I would need but am never sure. If I am having a bad day then the intervals will shut off if I didn't predict correctly. When I first started using a Garmin 6 or 7 years ago I would run with an IM watch just for the fact that I mentioned. Today I just use distance for my run/walk. It will take a while to figure out then proper interval but it works well. For me I set 1 mile laps on the Garmin and that works like a champ. I have set some of my rinners at .4 and.5 mile laps to do the same thing.

Thank you so much, Charles. Duh. I guess I am having a blonde moment. For some reason I thought I had to press MODE and then get back to the pace/time screen which would mess up the interval countdown.

I just slightly overestimate the number of intervals I will need to do based on my most recent pacing. That way the watch won't stop counting before I'm done training in the event I mess something up. But thanks for the distance interval idea. I will have to try that.

Thank you again for answering my question!! I have been looking in my manual, searching the Garmin website, but all I had to do was ask a WISHer. :)
