The North wing is closer to the food court and walkway to MK. The south wing is closer to the pools. We stayed in the south wing.
upgrades: when we stayed there last July (end) we had a wing room. It was value season and the front desk sent us to a room that wreaked of smoke. Since we had a guaranteed NS room, we went back and they switched our room. We got new keys and the room was occupied! So again, third trip to the front desk, and again were assigned another room (3rd one) that was acceptable for what we paid for. At that point I thought, I would think they would upgrade us after spending 2 hours walking between rooms and the front desk. But was not in the stars for us. Again I say it was value season, we had our grandson with us. And no way are we asking to be upgraded, but did think by the third time, you would've thought they would try to make a couple of tire people a little happier. The room was OK. It was what we paid for and we watched the monorail go in and out of the main building. since so many folks are willing to pay rack rate for this resort, I think upgrades are few and far apart. I have read a few posting of them, but it doesn't happen too often. We will see in September. I am booked there again (2 room) to celebrate the 50th. Not Disneylands' but mine! I wonder if there be any pixie dust in my room selection, but either way, the wing rooms were fine with me too! (SO BIG)
