It's been about a month since BWV but just a quick note on Gardengrocer. Great experience, we used "comments" to request pinapple, 24 bottles of Mic Ultra, 4 bottles of some kind of White Zin-DW said it was just what she ordered and a pint of rum. Anyway all the fruit was very fresh and crisp and the rest of the order was perfect as well as the alcohol. We did a $20 tip on line (order was around $225, so I dont know if thats a lot or not enough, but whoever picked it did a great job she said. We will use them for our June trip for sure.

We used them last November and they were great!!!! We will be using them again this November.

How does gardengrocer work. I know they deliver in a 2 hour time window, but If I have a delivery to my villa will they have it waiting for me when I arrive?

Would I need to let the disney resort know beforehand?

They will deliver to Bell services. When we ordered we asked to have it delivered between 7 and 9pm. I thought we'd have to be at our room. We were eating dinner when they called me and said they just dropped everything off at bell services at 6:30. After dinner I called bell services and they brought everything to our room. Also if you don't see something on their website that you want/need just ask them. Last year I had two infants and need special things and they got everything I needed.

We used Garden Grocer this past February while staying at the WLV. They were great and I would not hesitate to use them again. The only problem we had was that bell services did not bring the entire order to the room, they were missing the cold items and the beer. Garden Grocer warned me this could happen. I told bell services what we were missing and in ten minutes it was delivered to the room.

We are using them for the first time in 2 weeks...will report back, but most of the reports here are excellent.

We have used them 2 or 3 times. I know that I made a request for specific items that they made special efforts to find. It was great to finally get into our room after all of the traveling and not have to worry about going out and getting supplies like milk or quick breakfast items.

I will defiantely use them again.
Re: tip I guess $20 of a $225 is a bit less than 10%. I think I would give maybe a 15% tip-although it is difficult to tip ahead of time since the premise of tipping is a bit extra for the "good service".

hi is there a link for this we are going in May staying a ssr and would love to get some "healthy things"

We will keep 15% in mind for our trip in June, although that is for 12 so we may have about a $500 bill-$75 tip.

As for delivery they arrived at noon and GG was busy until after 5PM-we knew this ahead of time, so they went to MK until 2AM and then had the order brought up to the room-still fresh and frozen.

We placed a small order for our trip in 3 days (yay!!). Do they call you when they are on their way or do you just hang around during that 2-hour delivery time and wait?

Hopefully someone can answer you for sure, but this was our first time and I think you can choose to hang around until they show up (not sure they will call your cell or your room or not-we didn't have any missed calls on the cell) or head out and do what you want and check back later. I get the feeling the kind of just leave it at the hotel and they expect you to call and come get it (or have Bell services bring it to your room) when you get time-like I said we picked ours up at 2AM.

They have called me before delivering each of the 3 times I have used them. Twice we were in the room and once we were still at MCO so they delivered it to bell services and we had bell services deliver it to our room when it was ready a couple of hours after we checked in. Each time things worked very smoothly!

There is a $40 minimum not including any extras like alcohol and a $10 delivery charge.

I would like to purchase groceries but do not know how to go about it. This will be our first time and we arrive 5-19-07 in the am. Also will the parks allow outside beverages?

I just read this on their site...just thought I would pass it along to anyone planning to use the service these days...

Due to a high volume of orders we are unable to offer any delivery slots on May 14th. Also, in order to serve you better we will be moving to a larger facility on May 15th and May 16th and our service will be closed. Orders chosen to be delivered after these dates will gladly be accepted. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your business.

We have had nothing but stellar service from GG! We highly recommend them to anyone that goes to the Orlando area. Their service is great.

Goto their website www.gardengrocer.com and you can order everything right there. While Disney says no outside drinks or food aloud in the parks they have never stopped anyone. I usually have snacks and some water bottles with me, never had a problem.
