Garden Grocer?? How does it work with delivery to DVC resorts?

Do you need to be at the resort to accept delivery? If you are not required to be there...what about tipping??? Does it get delivered to resort room or to luggage? Thanks

I've used them twice. I added on a tip when I placed the order. I select a delivery time around the time I expect to arrive at the resort. Because everything is pre-paid they leave everything with Bell Services. If we're lucky and our room is ready when we check in, I call down to Bell Services and have them bring the groceries up. If our room isn't ready, we go off and do something for a few hours and call down for the groceries when we get back and get into the room.

You don't have to be present. You can put it on your charge card and even add the tip. They will store it at the desk till you get there.

They gave us a time when they would be there, and I came back to meet them at the room while everyone else stayed in the pool.

Used GG for the first time for our stay Monday until Friday (yesterday). We usually rent a car but I couldn't find a great deal so we decided to use ME and order from GG. I might never rent a car again!
I placed the order online. Noted in the messages area that we also wanted beer and wine (it isn't on the order form).
We arrived at 1:00 and got a room right away. I told Bell Services that we were expecting a delivery between 3pm and 5pm. (I ordered for that time because we had frozen stuff and I wasn't sure when we would have our room).
We got a call from Bell around 3:30 and they sent the delivery guy over with our stuff - right to our room!!
We planned to hang around but Bell Services said they would hold it for us if we wanted to go out. I had put the tip on the original order.
Everything was exactly as ordered. I will surely use the service again!

What happens with perishables? If your room isn't ready or you're not there, do they get stored somewhere cold or will they be left to go bad? If they don't get stored cold, do you just not order anything perishable, or set the order time for late in the day and hope that your room is ready by then?

Perishables get stored cold with bell services until you can pick them up or have them delivered to your room. And IIRC, if you order alcohol, someone does need to be there to accept delivery and show proof of ID.
