I saw this place mentioned in the Unofficial Guide and am thinking about using them to get groceries for our upcoming June trip. We are staying off-site but I would love the convenience of not having to worry about running to the grocery store our first evening. I've read about people having them deliver to their resort rooms, but I assume they deliver to the general Disney/Orlando area? How much notice do they need? We are arriving on June 10 (Sunday) but not sure what time -- if I place an order earlier that week, could I call them when we get there and expect a delivery that evening?

Place your order sooner than that! They book up quickly. We have used them twice now for delivery to the BC. You need to give them a window of time for delivery. But you can call them & let them know if it's going to be later. Also give them a cell # to reach you.

we used them and had them deliver to the resort the day we arrived and we picked it up at the resort when we booked in.this was good for us as we did not have to wait around for them

Was this expensive? What was the delivery fee? Was there a minimum order amount?

We have used them the past couple trips - they were great. Exactly what we ordered and when we were getting in later than expected they left our package with the front desk - who kindly delivered it to our room. It was there when we arrived in the room. The deliver charge is 15 dollars I believe.

Is there a website to order from, do you call them, or what?

I used them and they are reliable. There is a minumum of $40 that you need to order and a $10 delivery fee. Just go to their website and select what you want and if they dont have something you want there is a comment box at the end and type it there. good place for any beer, wine etc. They take only so many deliveries per time slot so the sooner the better. I had to take a little later time slot but it was not a problem. I could have done it cheaper but decided I wanted the convenience.

Wow......that's GREAT to know. I was looking at Goodings.....and they have a $50 minimum and a $20 delivery charge.

Thanks for the info. I'll be checking them out instead!

How far in advance have you been setting up your orders with them? We're arriving May 5th, and I was going to wait until about 2 weeks before hand. Should I do it sooner?:confused3

This is taken directly from their site:

"Grocery delivery is FREE for orders over $200! We currently offer delivery to much of Central Florida (including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Hotels) for a fee of only $12.00. (See "Service Area" for specific locations.) We also deliver to area college campuses!

Please allow at least 24 hours for delivery.

To ensure delivery on the date and during 2-hour time window you prefer, please place your order ASAP."

Hope that helps!

what happens with perishables? Does guest service hold it? I would like to order milk, and bagesl, ccheese etc but not sure about this?

So if I wanted to use them and needed to include milk in the order, would I have to be there to get it? We're going to be arriving late (around 9 or 10 pm) on the day of arrival. They couldn't deliver it before we checked in, could they? If so, would it be in our room or at the front desk? Would things like milk have been sitting out getting hot for hours?

Q. Do I have to be present in my room for the delivery?
A. For most hotel & resort guests, you DO NOT have to be in your room at the time of delivery, unless it is a COD order. Your groceries will be waiting for you at the "bell services/luggage room". Just call bell services and they will deliver them to your room when you arrive.

Q. Will my cold and frozen items (perishables) be in the same condition when I
receive them?
A. Yes, most hotels have a refrigerator and freezer to store your perishables. They will be logged-in under your last name at bell services/luggage room. Just stop by or call bell services when you arrive, and they will arrange the delivery to your room. If you are not staying in a Disney hotel, we recommend calling your hotel in advance to discuss and understand their delivery policies, procedures and to find out if they have a refrigerator/ freezer to store your perishables.
NOTE: All Disney Resorts have refrigerators and freezers in their luggage rooms to store your perishables until you arrive. The "Value" and "Moderate" resorts typically have small refrigerators (1.7 cu. ft.) for your room use, therefore we recommend 1/2 gallons of milk versus 1 gallon containers. Sizes of refrigerator/freezers vary by "Deluxe" resort. We recommend calling the resort for details on the available size for your room. Disney Vacation Club Villas (1, 2 and 3 bedroom units) have full size refrigerators and freezers. Feel free to order all the perishables needed for your family's stay.
