Ok so there have been many threads talking about how the Garden Grocer will also deliver Alcohol if requested. Yes they check ID but I have nothing to fear at my age.

I even sent a message to Garden Grocer CS recently to verify the process. The answer I got was to include my selection in the comments and also include an alternate selection just in case.

OK so since I GG does not list Alcohol on their site and I don't shop in Florida grocery stores I don't know what they typically carry. In New England Sam Adams beer is my first choice. Yellow Tale Wine is a common selection but I've also settled for a good Wine Box since it is more convienient than having a corked bottle in the room.

Can anyone who has purchased through Garden Grocer or is local to the area give me an idea of what options I have to request on the order? I'd say name a few Beer 6 pack options and maybe a 3 litre wine box option or two. Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon.

I would greatly appreciate the information.

I would also like to know how much they typically charge for what kind of alcohol.

We ordered from GG in June. DH ordered Beer. I called them and talked to them before my order. Then I emailed them with my order number I was given with the items I oredered off of the website.

It is my understanding that they stop at a local market on the way to pick up alcohol. DH just specified his first choice and they called him to verify and also told him what the price would be. I think if you specified your preferred brand they would probably call you if they couldnt get it.

It was delivered to our room with no hassle.

I'm glad you asked this. I had the exact same question. I have no idea what to ask for or what it costs. Guess I just put what I want and hope for the best?

So do you pay for the alcohol seperatly from the rest of your grocery order?

Are they able to leave your groceries with the front desk if you include alcohol, or do you need to meet them in person?

If you mean to verify age and ID, I believe other people have said they have faxed copies of their licenses to GG ahead of time so they were able to leave their groceries and alcohol with bell service because they weren't there at time of delivery.

We placed an order with GG and ordered a 12 pack of beer - I was not asked to verify anything nor did I fax a copy of my liscence. They left everything at Bell Services for us.

It's possible they have changed their policy, but other people have had to fax copies of their licenses so to the OP, just be prepared to do this if they ask.

I know this is an old post but wondering if the beer and/or wine would count toward your $40 min.

We are on the Dining plan so really don't need/want a lot but do want beer and wine and trying to consider if we should just order from garden grocer so we dont have to deal with either bringing it in the car or stopping for it...

And how are the prices? All the grocery prices seem to be a bit higher then my grocery store (but to be expected with deliver) but just dont want to pay a ton more.

As far as I have understood, beer and any alcohol is exculded from the min. order......so it's pretty hard to get 40.00 of groceries.....I know we have a grocery stop included in our car service and with all our alcohol, and tons of groceries runs us 50.00...take out the alcohol and we're under theur min....

I've heard about beerrun......seems they run out for alcohol.....others chime in...plus I've heard and read, but never done, the Hess Stations on property...they sell beer and some other what not...again, others chime in..

We have used WEGO Shop and were very happy with them. We go to Disney twice a year and have never found a liquor store that was as cheap as the one they used. BTW we had $500.00 plus in groceries and alcohol. The shopper called us 3 times to verify our order and arrived at the BWV before we did.

I can confirm that alcohol does not count towards the $40 minimum. I think they explained it to me as them doing it as a convenience for us. It was still well worth it though. Much cheaper than buying a few beers at the end of the day at the resort.

I also did not fax my license nor did anyone ever ask for it.

Hello, just an FYI, we are scheduled to leave for Disney in 2 weeks. We did all of our groceries/alcohol through Garden Grocer. I called to update our alcohol order and they informed me that they currently do not have their license to deliver alcohol. I was a little disapointed by this not only because we were looking forward to relaxing with this in the evenings but they never called to inform me of this. So we now have our groceries paid through them and can not locate a place to have alcohol delivered. :sad2:

I read somewhere on this site that http://www.beerrun.biz/ now delivers to WDW. Something like $9.99 for deliver case minimum. I can't attest to the reliablity / pricing, but their selection is large. You can almost find anything.

I plan on using the for my trip in September, along with Garden Grocer. Unless my sister drives herself (she lives closer) then I'll just borrow her car.

We used www.beerrun.biz in February. They were great! They were able to get us a microbrew from Long Island an charged 11.99 a sixpack...We usually pay 10.99, so I didn't think it was bad. We also ordered a stout on their rec and some wine. The delivery charge was 9.99 and I added a tip before hand. It was delivered to bell service the morning of check in date. When we got to the room, I called down and had it delivered. Super easy and well worth it!

Thanks. That is reassuring. I too like the craft beers, which I was expecting to not be able to get from Garden Grocer. Glad I check the boards and found this place.
