can anyone give me a recent review for Garden Grill in Epcot. I have 10., 13, 17 year olds and they are not really wanting to do the character things. I think we should still do 1 just because it is DISNEY! Between the characters and the fact that the restaurant revolves it sounded unique. We've never been there before and my other reservations are going to be planet hollywood and trex in DTD, otherwise we are going to try to cram as much of the park in as we can and do counter service when we are hungry. We are spending a few days at universal and will try to eat at Mythos and hard rock cafe. Everyone is more partial to traditional american food...

the last time we were there my daughter was 14 and seemed to enjoy it - but the restaurant was no longer revolving at that time have they fixed it since then? my only suggestion would be go for dinner and not lunch we much preferred the dinner over the lunch menu

Garden Grill is only open for Dinner that I was aware of ;)

in 2008 we had lunch there - in 2007 we had dinner and much preferred it - they may have stopped since then - also does anyone know if the restaurant is rotating again?

I though it revolved that last few times I was there -- including March of this year -- but maybe that's my equivalent of a moving-yeti sighting.

We've sat on the upper level last couple of times I was there, so the motion (or lack thereof) isn't as noticeable.

I think the food is pretty good... but I eat there because my daughter likes to meet the characters. If your kids are aggressively against that, they probably won't enjoy the experience.

we love gg! we've done it twice, once in oct and once in april.

it is only dinner now, and yes still revolving. very minor, altho i got dizzy! lol

we were all set to book it again, when after hearing from a dis'er on here the kids menu has been changed. not sure what the age is for kids menu so it may njot apply to you. it was nuggets, fries and mac and cheese, now its drumsticks, sweet potato fries, mac and cheese and broccoli? sadly mine are so fussy and wont eat the new options. so its out for us.

the salads and desserts seem to be seasonal. oct. we had a green salad and blueberry crumble, april more like a cobb salad and strawberry rhubarb crumble. didn't matter to me i ate the kids dessert( worms and dirt, chocolate pudding and cookie crumbles.)

it'sl a fun experience!

It was moving at the end of April.

My husband loved the food. He's a meat (fish too) and potatoes guy and really enjoyed the meal.

I liked the moving aspect of the restuarant, the character interaction was above expectations and the food was yummy.

We would go again!

Enjoy!

I would go. Its pretty good food, and all you care to eat. You don't have to interact with the characters. You can wave them on, but I bet you won't.
My nephew and niece met us there, and were surprised at the food. It was also my DH's and DN's birthday, so they each got a birthday dessert...
Its fun.

Just went there on 5 sept, the beef and turkey is good pork was a little dry. Over all it is a nice place to eat.

My two older boys enjoyed this restaurant. The charters were the best. When my oldest acted like he was board Chip & Dale and Mickey came over, took his baseball hat, and pretend to play a baseball game. Everyone in the restaurant enjoyed the skit including my boys. This is the only restaurant my kids said we have to go to this trip.

I say make them go - if you want character interaction- because when I'm at the world I have to see the characters - ;)

We just ate here in August and the restaurant was revolving. The character's were able to also came to are table more than once. It's a lot of fun to see the restaurant move and have the character's come to your table. They had Mickey, pluto, chip , and dale come to are table and they were the only one's there. We all really enjoyed it, but didn't like how terrible the service was.

We are going here on our arrival night,11/28 - Can anyone tell me what's on the menue currently? Also can you get the salad dressing on the side - DH doesn't like ranch dressing!

Hi! We will also be there on our first day 11/28, it will be our first time at GG. We will be the people with the 3 loud boys, well behaved, but loud!:rotfl:

My DS11 and DS4 will eat your DH's ranch if he doesn't want it-they treat ranch as a separate food group. We are excited to see these characters, especially Mickey for DS4, Pluto for DS11 and C&D for the rest of us.

See you there!

What time is your ressie? Ours is at 4:45 - we would like to do the behind the seeds tour before dinner and then hit DHS after to see the Osborne Lights.

We love this restaurant. We have gone to in 2006, 2009, and back again in 2011.

The food is very good and you can ask for as much of it as you wish. It always seemed fresh and very tasty. DS and DD ate some of ours as well as what they were served, and we tried their mac and cheese and were impressed with the quality. We loved the bread and butter (the rest was very great tasting too).

We found we had good service when we were there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I hope you have an enjoyable meal there.

Hi! Our ADR is for 6:45 pm. We will be doing FW before dinner and I think we will be ready to head back to the resort afterwards. We have a long day planned for MK the next day. :) We haven't gotten to do the behind the seeds tour yet, hopefully soon-enjoy!

Only 56 more days until we get to try out GG for the 1st time-we can't wait!

Garden Grill was working when we there in February 2010 but O 'Hana's for dinner has no characters but has games like Hoola Hoop for anyone who wants to get up and try it. we like to people watch. Planet Hollywood just was not very good last time and it used to be first on our list. House of Blues good but not on DDP either. Fun place no character but is good is Whispering Canyons at WL and if they ask for catsup the servers have ALL the catsup from all the tables brought to you or ask for a large drink and see what happens. My brother in law and I took my sister there as she was having a pouty food day as we KNEW she cannot eat a thing with out catsup and it was so funny!!!!!

We like the food at the GG. It is very basic food, but decent. I don't remember if you can get salad dressing on the side or not. The kids menu has changed since we were there a year ago. My kids liked it better because they don't like mac n cheese ( I know-gasp!). The drum sticks were a big hit and our kids love broccoli too. The one thing our kids did not like the was new kid dessert which we saw a lot of kids had just left on the table. It's a Mickey Mousse dessert with a choc. chip type mousse. They took away the dirt dessert which was my son's favorite part of the dinner. The service is not the most stellar but we have never had big problems there and usually get what we need in a reasonable amount of time. We also love the character interaction. They come to the table twice sometimes which we are there. OVerall, I would recommend it.
