i just made ressie for the night we arive to go to dinner at the garden grill w/ chip and dale. we chose this one b/c it's one of the character meals we still have not done, and my son really got a kick out of chip and dale on our last trip to wdw. has anyone ever eaten here? how is it? advice? input?

The food is great. It's served family style--all you care to eat. There's lots of character interaction, and you get the revolving restaurant to boot:thumbsup2

we ate there this past Sept. we didn't think the food was that great. the character interaction was very good - they spent plenty of time w/us. we decided to schedule something different for this year's trip, since it didn't really impress us that much.

We tried GG because it always seemed to get good review on the Dis, and we thought the menu really sounded good. We thought the food was some of the worst we had ever had on Disney property. Our server was terrible as well. The only saving grace was the character interaction was great. ( We went in Dec.-so not crowded) Chip sat our table and played tic tac toe with our DD and she just loved it. However, no amount of character time could make us go back for another meal there.:sad1:

I had lunch there in Nov. and I had seconds of everything! I'm not a picky eater; thought it was all very good! Considering going back here for my June trip. Request the outer ring.

We just got back from there. We thought the salad, catfish, veggies were good. Turkey and steak were dry. The restaurant is nice and the character interaction was great. At one point, we had chip, dale, and mickey at our table together. It was great. We are glad we went but it isn't a must do again.

we loved it! the food was very good and i love the different scenes you have around the restaurant. be sure and look for the hidden mickey at the end on the mural. we will probably go back to the garden grill in jan. everytime we go to ride soarin, it smells so good.

We were OK with the food, but wouldn't rave about it. Interaction for us was just OK, too because we didn't have any little kids. It seems the characters were better with small ones.

I actually thought it was the best meal I had while in WDW during my last trip. My mom and I both LOVED the food, we got seconds of almost everything.

The character interaction is good I guess but I am the oddball who doesn't actually want the characters to hang around too long. My kids like to get a quick picture and autograph, say hello and then have them be on their way. The characters here tend to linger which I suppose is a great thing for most people, but I was actually like...ok...you can leave now so I can eat thank you. No, I didn't SAY that, but it was just how I felt.

We have eaten here a couple of times, but not for several years now. We thought the food was good and the character interaction was the best!! Now that our kiddos are getting older, well one is anyway, it's just not a must do for us.

We are trying it for the first time next month. We will be there for our sons 5th birthday. What kind of special stuff will they do for his bday?

We've never gone to a character meal because of the food, long as it's decent we're o.k.. My DD5 LOVES Chip and Dale, so for our trip in June we are going to GG and LTT. Everyone has different tastes in food, so for every person who likes it, you will probably find someone who didn't. We go to character meals for great memories, not great food. If you son is a Chip and Dale fan, I think he will have a wonderful time!!

We have enjoyed the dinner meal and characters when we've dined here...I think the fish and fresh veggies are great, as well as the bread. As usual, the kids can get chicken fingers if they don't like the main meal. Dessert is hit and miss for us...if it's not chocolate, it's not worth it!:thumbsup2

We like it! Many times you will get the charaters twice (it's a small place)

The food is quite nice and we had a great server this last time. Fun for all!

We went in September, and I thought the food was very good. The catfish was a little "Mrs. Pauls" but everything else was great. Very good character interaction as well. I wasn't really crazy about the "atmosphere" of the place, though. It feels very isolated, not like you're in a restaurant at all. and I hate when it rotates to the front and everyone waiting to eat is staring at you.

We've ate at Garden Grill a couple of times and have enjoyed it quite a bit. The food is always very good and the characters are great! You get lots of character interaction. It seems like they came to our table 3-4 times each time we've been there.

The character interactions here are fantastic. My nephews, who were 3 and 5, got a ton of attention and it never felt rushed. They loved the huge hugs from both Chip and Dale.

As for the food, it is nothing fancy. This being said, I thought it was really good. Everything was fresh and just plain yummy. I feel like I do not get a lot of vegatables on vacation and the options here were a nice change!
