Garden Grill - sweet potato fries replaced. When small menu changes really irritate you.

Garden Grill have removed the delicious sweet potato fries to replace with regular french fries due to repeated requests from parents for regular fries for children. Fair enough. But it is so annoying when you pick somewhere specifically because your partner loves Chip n Dale and doesnt like regular potatoes so Garden Grill is the traditional favourite.

First the beautiful rare steak was replaced for the pot roast and now the sweet potato fries. I wish Disney would just sometimes leave things as they are, they obviously worked. The place is always fully booked.

With our two favourite items off menu sad to say we may have to call a day on our usual first adr booked.

After all Disney couldn't possibly afford to have 2 types of fries or a steak.

Don't kid yourself, these changes have nothing to do with guest requests and everything to do with saving $$$

Sorry, but this is a win for me. I hate sweet potatoes in all forms. But yeah, they could have had them both. And that sausage is why I didn't book lunch or dinner, I booked breakfast.

We seldom ate the sweet potato fries (not because we didn't like them- just because there was so much). I feel like the food has gone done there- but the character interaction is what has kept us coming back. This year we are trying breakfast.. i'm hoping to not be that disappointed.

I think I single-handedly ate about three servings of that fish, it was quite tasty each of the times I had it. I haven't been back since they changed the menu, I like pot roast. but I really went for that delicious fish, I also loved the sweet potato fries, you can get regular ones at pretty much every other restaurant. I don't like character meals, but I made an exception for GG, and now I don't think we will be returning.

I didn't like the sp fries. Don't like regular fries either, though.

Still miss the real roast beef and the fish. And the fresh veggies they used to have! That's when GG was really good.

The menu changed a while ago dropping spf...

In May, we had booked scifi diner on day one-
specifically for spf for my fix-and they'd changed their menus also
Sat in the restaurant and wallowed


I still don't know where to find spf in wdw

I don't mind the switch with the fries, but the filet of beef being replaced with pot roast was right up there for me. It was my favorite thing they serve there. I haven't had the pot roast yet, but will in September when we go for dinner so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

The sliced filet was my absolute favorite. We switched to breakfast after that was dropped from the menu.

Next year we are skipping dinner and doing breakfast there instead. But we wanted to do dinner again this upcoming trip one more time.

We've always loved the restaurant for the fish, sliced beef, sweet potato fries, and great salad. It seems they have really cheapened the experience, so we will be skipping it this next trip unless we try breakfast. Sad...
