garden grill restaurant revolves - does it make you dizzy

Hello:

Would like to try the garden grill restaurant in epcot, but my daughter suffers from severe migraines due to motion etc. Can anyone tell me if the revolving has ever made them sick or dizzy? Also what do you see when it revolves?

Hi Deb,

I myself had the same concern because most of family including myself, my husband, and daughter (age 6) all suffer from bad motion sickness. I asked a similar question on here and got some good feedback. Here is the link to that post. Hope it helps!

My mother and I both have severe dizziness problems. She has even been diagnosed with meuneires disease (which is an inner ear problem that causes dizziness, fainting). I can't put my head too far back to look up or turning to fast without getting dizzy, so I guess you would say were pretty experienced. Neither one of us has ever had any problem with the Garden Grill. It moves so slow you don't even realize it's moving. I would say we made maybe one revolution and a little more during our mealtime which was about an hour. As for what you see, I guess I was too busy with eating and pictures with characters to noticebut if I remember correctly is just mostly painted walls and one section where you can see (very little actually unless you get up and stand by the rail) inside the Living with the Land ride.

I don't think you should have a problem, if you decide to go I think you will enjoy it.

I get motion sickness VERY easily. The carousel makes me sick. If I read a word or two in the car I get sick. GG did not make me sick.

It runs at one revolution per hour.

We were just on it the week after July 4th. You barely notice the movement the only way I knew we were moving was looking at the scenery, but I saw on this website that they have the boat ride it overlooks closed for reimbursement so I don't know if they have it rotating or not at this time.

You shouldn't even notice it's moving. That's how slow it moves.

I was viciously sick at Garden Grill. I thought it was due to motion sickness at the time, but it might have been a combination of heat, the seriously rare steak I had eaten at 'Ohana the night before and the unappetizing food. (I REALLY didn't like Garden Grill.)

I had to keep getting up and leaving because I felt so ill.
