Any thoughts or comments on either of these to restaurants? We will be travelling with two girls 6 and 8. I was thinking of Garden Grill to see the characters but thought about Biergarten as they learn German (and about Germany) at school.

Our DDs age 7 and 9 BEG to go to Beirgarten! They love the dancing and music and the general atmosphere. They also love the food which DH and I found to be marginal but we really enjoyed the experience.

Garden Grill is also fun with the characters but it is very low key in our opinion. We do Garden Grill every once in awhile for lunch and the food has been decent.

Personlly, we would choose Beirgarten for the festive enviroment.

You will have fun at either place!

While my preference would be Garden Grill, I think the fact that they learn German in school would make Biergarten the definite choice in your situation. How fun for them to have an experience to reinforce what they are learning in school. They would be able to practice their German with cast members as well. I'll bet the CM's will get a great kick out of it.

Have a fabulous trip!

We felt the Garden Grill wasn't worth the money, just our opinion.

Beirgarten is awesome! Great food, music, dancing and atmosphere.

I dont know what it is about Garden Grill but every time I pass it the smell makes me sick to my stomach

Maybe it's because you just got off Soarin' ? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

We have never been to GG, but will be going this summer. My kids love BG, especially DS. He loved the entertainment and there were enough choices on the buffet to keep everyone happy.

They are both fun restaurants, and I probably like each equally. One thing to consider is the style of the meal. GG is served family style, and Biergarten is a buffet. If you already have a lot of buffets on your trip, you might enjoy the family style meal for a change of pace. But if you'd like to add a buffet (or another buffet) to the other places you're eating, you might want to lean toward Biergarten.

Both places are great! I don't think you can go wrong with whichever one you decide to do.

We've done the Biergarten the last two times we've been and plan on doing it again this June. And we have an almost 3 year old and she loves it. They have sausages, salads, etc, but also mac and cheese on the menu for children. Their desserts are fantastic! The show is great and they encourage you and your children to get out and dance while they perform. I strongly recommend the Biergarten. Especially if they learn about Germany in school. It would make for a great story to tell back at school.

Garden Grill has great character interaction but the food at Biergarten is the best. I'd go to Biergarten.
