Help me decide!

I have both ADR's already made the same day for dinner, and need to decide which one to cancel.

We've eaten at GG before, so we know what to expect as far as the food and characters. If we decide to keep this one, we'd spend the day at Epcot for sure.

We've never been to 1900 PF. I see such mixed reviews on the food, which I understand is individual preference, so I won't let that sway me too much. If we go with this one, we'll plan the day as a non-park day and enjoy the resort.

If you go into 1900 PF with very low expectations, you should be fine. It is fun to meet the stepsisters and stepmother. Are you on the dining plan?- that will definetly soften the blow when they bring you the check. (That was the worst part- when I saw how much they charged for what they were serving!)

We just got back on Saturday and ate at both of these restaurants. I loved all things about Garden Grill (character interaction, food, server, etc). I loved the Step-sisters at Park Fare and the step mother was pretty good too. Our server was good. The food was good but not great. I am the type of person that would like to try new restaurants every time I go so I would say try Park Fare.

Yes, we are on the dining plan!

I like to try new places, too, so 1900 PF, it'll be! Keep the comments comingm though!

Our family felt that the buffet food at 1900 was pretty good. For comparatives, imo definately far better than Chef Mickey's or Hollywood & Vine. Quality wise, would put it on par with Boma or Tusker.

The thing that 1900 has against it is that it's like eating in a Holiday Inn ballroom - huge, open, nondescript looking room. I think being in the GF and going into such a plain room makes it seem even worse.

The Cindy characters are excellent and put on a great show (the bickering and the dancing) that's a step above (different) from the usual table stop/photo opp dining experience.

I'd agree that I wouldn't consider 1900 if I was paying oop, but it's a nice DDP option. We'd go back.

We did both last year. We loved 1900 and had a bad meal at the Garden Grill (loved the characters, hated the food).

I really enjoy 1900 park fare. I like the buffet style meals. The dinning plan will lessen the blow to the pocket book really for either one!!!

I love 1900 Park Fare! We did the Cinderella dinner there this past July and it was great! The food was excellent in my opinion, and DD9 loved to meet Prince Charming...I think she had a little crush on him. :) You'll have a great time! And the resort itself is really stunning.

We have been to Park Fare several times over the years, back when they had the mice and Fairy Godmother as opposed to the step-sisters. We have been to Garden Grill only a couple times, and we enjoyed it as well. I think the food is better at Park Fare than Garden Grill in part due to so many available buffet choices. The appeal of Garden Grill was over the Land ride, which has always been on my favorites. But, I would not leave Epcot to go to Park Fare. I like your plan of a non-park day to go there. Afterwards, we walked over to the Wedding Pavilion (no wedding in progress), looked around, took some pictures, and then back for a monorail or boat ride.

We had a blast at 1900 Park Fare 3years ago when DS was 7 and DD was 5 and I plan on returning this trip. In fact it was of our favorite places to eat. The stepsisters and stepmothers were very interactive and the stepsisters did a little thing where they argued about which one was going to get to be my son's girlfriend. It was memorable for us all! Plus I remember really enjoying the food there too. I haven't been to GG but it sounds too much like Liberty Tree Tavern which we didn't like the food at too much (but did like the characters).

If you're doing any other character buffet, the food will essentially be the same as PF. We had really bad service when we ate there and after seeing the same complaint from other people, we won't be going back until the reviews are better. Its fairly cramped and we had trouble getting around between the characters, kids, and people going to the buffet.

I also think the character interaction at GG is better because the restaurant is smaller and you'll see the characters more than once.
