i was looking at allears.net and saw that the meal is served "family-style", the menu is given, but following that there is a children's menu. I'm a bit confused by this. i thought that "family-style" meant that the food is brought out on a platter and everyone takes from this common platter. so why then, do the kids have to eat different food than everyone else? my kids are not fans of chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese. i'm sure they would prefer the other menu. am i misunderstanding this?

The kids can eat from the family style platter - I think the reason for the alternative kids menu is that some kids might not be adventurous enough to eat the catfish and other things included ont he main menu.

As far as I know, though, your kids can eat from both if they wish :)

You can get both or just the one. My kids are pretty picky so macncheese and nuggets are great for them but like Ds10 does not like raw veggies that most of the kids meals come with but he loves green beans so we gave him the green beans off the adult platter. And they bring you more of whatever you like or more of everything. So we got more green beans and the potatoes for me, yummy!
