Garden Festival

We have done the F & W twice now (love it!), but we are thinking our next trip will be in the spring. Is the Garden Festival worth it? Any thoughts?

The emphasis is on flowers and gardens. The kiosks for food and drink are usually plant based items. Seminars are on plants and gardening, not food, not wine. The Festival Center is only open on weekends and musical acts are also only on weekends. If you like gardening, it's wonderful. My son is a gardener at the MK and is one of the tour guides for Gardens of the World tour at Epcot. If you are expecting lots of food and drinking, you'll probably be disappointed. Unless they change it next year. They don't even start advertising the events until the week before. I got a survey from Disney after our visit a few weeks ago and it seemed to hint at more dining type events like the Rockin' Burger Block Party that we attended.

Of the two festivals, I prefer the food at the Flower and Garden festival kiosks, because there are more items with veggies and fruit, whereas what I found at Food and Wine tended to be heavier on the meats and desserts, making it more difficult to have a healthy and balanced meal from the kiosks. Also even if you're not into gardening, the topiaries and flowers at the Flower and Garden festival are really pretty.

We attend the F & W Festival yearly. But a few years ago we snuck in a short Flower & Garden Festival visit as well. We loved it. Epcot is abloom and it is absolutely beautiful!!! This was before they had any kiosks and we still loved it. It is a different focus.
We went on the tour @Deb & Bill's son is a guide on and it too was wonderful.
I highly recommend the Flower & Garden Festival.
