Garage/Yard Sale success!!

We had our garage sale over the weekend.
It was cooler weather but at least it was dry.

Our total sales for the two days, we had it Friday & Saturday was

$1665.00!!!!!!!!

That is ALL Disney money. Oh my son made rice krispies bars & chocolate chip cookies to sell & he even made $40.75!
All the cookies were gone by Friday afternoon & we only had 5 rice krispie bars left by closing time on Friday. (I had made 6 batches of bars!!!!)

We have our whole trip paid for (minus the plane tickets, we paid that months ago). Thanks to this garage sale & Ebay.
This is only since February that I have been selling on Ebay again (took a break from Dec-Feb)

Anyway...here is what we have paid for our 20 days stay........

A 6 night stay at POP (AP rates)
a 14 night stay at Contemporary (wing room) ( AP rates)
Rental car for one week (only need it for a week)
Town car service to pick us up at the airport & take us back

The "pirate cruise" for my son
14 character meals for 2 adults & 1 child
Hoop Dee Doo for 2 adults & 1 child
Cirque du Soleil for 2 adults & 1 child
Kennedy Space Center tickets for 2 adults & 1 child

That is it, we have Annual Passes that are still good, expire on 6/15 so this is the last time on them. But we don't have to buy park tickets this time.

This was all paid for by Ebay & our garage sale.....so YES you CAN Ebay/garage/yard sale your way to DISNEY!!!!!

You did great, I can't imagine making that much on a garage sale, but you must be so excited!

For the garage sale we sold some Little Tykes & Step 2 toys. (including some riding toys, a kitchen set, table & chair set)
misc. toys (fisher price little people sets went VERY FAST)
Alot of my toys were in excellent condition. I had three tables of just toys!!!!

We also sold many books, Holiday decorations, a changing table, Kitchen items (waffle iron, pyrex bake ware, etc), kid's clothes,
Children's CD-roms! Those went VERY fast. I had each one priced at $1.00 & I had over 40 I was selling, they were all gone by Friday afternoon!

I also had some rubber stamps & other small craft items I was selling. Those went pretty good too.

Alot of little misc things, those really added up!

As for Ebay, I mostly have sold videos, music CDs, some collectible firgurines and some very good condition kid's clothes.

Wow, that is fantastic!!! Congrats on such an awesome sale! Yes, please share, what type of things were you selling? Thanks for the inspiration! Bet it will make the trip that much more fun (if that's possible) to have it paid for by clearing out your own stuff.

WOW! That is wonderful! I'm planning a garage sale for July and going to use the money for spending money for our November 26 Disney trip that my mom is taking my family on She just also ordered our MVMCP tickets
Anyway, what a great idea also about the rice crispy treats and cookies. My kids would LOVE to do that while at the sale.
Last year they made about $60 in ice tea and lemonade sale but that was also including my family coming and paying $5-$10 for a cup of ice tea LOL
I really don't think I have much to sell at this point but not going to give anything else away until after July LOL
