In all the disney blues talking my friend and I have decided we will start planing for our next trip with both our families:lovestruc. Although it won't be until december 2012!!!!:eek:Feels like forever. But hey at least now I can start planing again:dance3::surfweb:

I'm sure that we would have to pay a fecking fee for not having pre booked this online.

Good news Kyl! Hope to see another Aussie PTR before too long! :thumbsup2

Transatlantic cruises are at the wrong times and there are no panama canal. There is a 7 night Mexican riviera one in early December. This would fit in with the Christmas itinerary.

Where does this (for me) heaving Mexican siesta on the balcony start from and where do I kiss solid ground? :rotfl2:

(plus date of embarkation...we need to start looking at dates..)

:tiptoe: Has anyone else noticed that we have 11 votes for our holiday and ...(unless my fingers and toes misled me)...only 9 registered? Not that there is anything wrong with it......but I think our budget just increased for the 9 of us :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

There is a 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise on 4th or 11th December. 5 adults cost is 6293 and for four 5562. I went for staterooms with verandahs and twin beds (cat 4e). Given the seasickness potential for some of our tribe, we might want to do a short 3 nighter Bahamas instead on the Dream. For the same category, the prices for this are 3014 and 2594.We can do this one on the first, the fourth or the 8th December.

Folks. I slept on this last night and thought that we should add the following two rules to post 1:

5. Dis-sers on the great trip will be listed in Post 2. Each dis-ser will have a starting budget of $25K to plan this trip.
6. Additional Budget for the trip will be based on the number of additional votes of the "Which option do you prefer" Poll. For each additional vote gained above the number of dis-sers on post 2, an additional $25K will be added to the pool of funds available.
7. Above all else, HAVE FUN!

That means that our budget is now sitting at $275K :teeth:. This trip gets better and better all the time. :thumbsup2

Ok :lmao:

Now do you want to take all that money down to Crown Casino and put it all on RED :thumbsup2 You can't lose :rolleyes1

You two are banned from going to the Kentucky Derby, Monte Carlo and Vegas.

Last time I was in Vegas I don't think I actually gambled at all in the Casino? Perhaps a couple dollars in the slots. Of course I spent most of the time in bed with gastro which kept me out of trouble. Including Christmas day...

You know I was thinking. It is probably good you not coming on the cruise. Given your bad luck charm issues

Just went on to a website that I've never visited before....Disney Cruise Line.

Looks like November/December 2011 cruises are available; but no listings yet for 2012.

Are we going in 2011 or are we planning 2012?

If 2011, then I had a look at cruises in November.

There is a 3 night Bahamas cruise starting Port Canaveral on Nov 20th, heading to Nassau and Castaway Cay on the Disney Dream. The Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom plus Verandah for 2 adults, category 05E is $1837.44. With 9 people, we would need 5 rooms; a total of about $9,200.

Christmas decorations start going up in early November and MVMCP start by about the 10th of November.

So here's what I was thinking in terms of dates, assuming a 2011 trip.

Depart:
Tuesday 8th November: Home to Hong Kong.
Saturday 12th November: Hong Kong to Paris
Saturday 19th November: Paris to Port Canaveral via Orlando
Sunday 20th November: Port Canaveral Bahamas Cruise
Wednesday 23rd November: Port Canaveral to WDW
Wednesday 7th December: Orlando to Los Angeles
Saturday 17th December: Los Angeles (or San Francisco) to Hawaii
Wednesday 21st December: Hawaii to Home

We would arrive home on Friday 23rd December, in time to pick up kids from last day at school and to cook Christmas Dinner...! :rolleyes1

Thoughts? Changes? Objections?

I think there are two of us that voted for a different itinerary and at least one that wanted to go at a different time.....

Since we have a couple of unhappy sailors, I think we should go for verandah rooms. If we put 3 in each room, or 4 in one and 5 in the other, the price is stll ok.

Yes I would love a verandah room, I am think I might be one of those feeling sick. Although I have never been on a cruise I could imagine that is what would happen. Although all the disney on board would make it well worth the sea sickness. Going on the spirit of tasmania in december and fingers crossed for that..........

PIO - I think those dates sound PERFECT!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I too would like a verandah room on the ship, I can see myself sipping a champers while leaning on the railing, wondering what the poor people are doing (of course I will be one of the poor people after paying for this trip :rotfl2:)

The dates look good. Now can we start planning where we will stay (please please). That is one of the best bits of planning.

and where we are going to EAT!!!!!! that is one of my favourite bits, hence the lack of a waistline for Ms. Shuttergirl :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I pulled some basic flight details off the internet....going with a OneWorld alliance (QF, CX, BA, AA) with our dates.

Mel to HKG on CX134
HKG to CDG via LHR on BA316, flying premium economy
CDG to MCO via NYC on AA45/1917
MCO to LAX on AA297
LAX to MEL on QF94, flying premium economy

On the website I used, I wasn't allowed to go to Hawaii and back to Oz. I figure we could do a side trip from LAX and back.

The above flights cost about $6150.

Anyone else wanna do some research?
