We have 8 votes...and 9 sign-ups. Should we wait for the last person to vote? Or given the voting....it looks like we are heading from home to Hong Kong, then Paris, then Barcelona.....to Orlando.....then Los Angeles, then Hawaii then home.

Given the responses, it looks like the Nov/Dec period is the popular season and we all wanna see Christmas festivities in WDW (and DLR).

Anyone object to 6 weeks?

So the question is when the transactlantic cruises stop for the season and whether we transfer the cruise component to one from Cape Canaveral to LA. Does anyone know? Otherwise, we can google and find out..

6 weeks of Disney? No I'm not sure I could cope with that :lmao:

DEFINITELY ending in Hawaii is a good idea ::yes::

Dare I ask what airline would we be travelling on he he he Ms Shuttergirl and Queenie!

:lmao: I can guarantee that it won't be a "United we Stand" on the first leg from our respective home bases to HK...

Perhaps something like SWISS AIR might provide us with neutral territory...

I'd take anything other than Qantas and US Airways....

Cathay Pacific for the start would be ok?

I can get United points on Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa :woohoo: :rolleyes1

Cathay would be okay with me for the first leg....and are we travelling business class?

Folks - If we can agree on a sometime in November start and 6 weeks, looks like we might be doing some research this weekend on airlines and $$. Our budget is pretty good....9 of us at $25K each....comes to $225K.

Anyone wanna rethink this holiday and think we might be better investing that money?? :rotfl:

I actually don't care what airline - I'm not travelling with kids :rotfl2::rotfl2:. Although Princess and Queenie can be a little "youthful" at times. Maybe we'll need something to entertainment them :rotfl::rotfl:

I think a mid November start and 6 weeks away sounds awesome.

A very quick search of Disney Cruise Line

The transatlantic westbound trip departs 10 Sep 11

$9300 USD for 5 adults in a family statesroom on Trans Atlantic which takes 14 nights leaving from Barcelona.

The transatlantic crossing repositions the ship.

At the moment there does not seem to be a Panama Canal westbound trip. This takes 15 days.

A new ship is about to be released so to stay more permanently on the west coast, there are rumours that one day soon they may even sail to Hawaii (the plot thickens).

In Nov/Dec we may need to consider a 3 to 7 day sail of the Caribbean or a trip down to the Mexican Riviera.

Europe Cruises run May to Sep. Alaska Cruises are similar.

Some food for thought...

More food for thought....

The dollar looks like $1.02 this morning. How much should we change? I was thinking about $20K...that gives us about $2K each....

Looks like we just do a shorter Carribean cruise then yeah???? I'm cool with that, a cruise in any part of the world sounds heavenly :lmao:.

Princess, I think I'll need more than 2k spending money, lets change more :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Happy to go with the flow....but given my lack of sea legs, it won't kill me if I don't get on the cruise. I might opt to fly and meet you folks at disembarkation if you cruise. (More disney and shopping time for me )

Plus once you have the Euros in hand you don't want to have to change them back to anything else so you mayaswell spend it :rotfl2:

Ok ok...
Ms Shuttergirl...you're in charge of Food Porn :cool1:
You know how reliable and good at it I am :lmao::lmao:

But...PrincessinOz you will be spending your money buying us all gifts :thumbsup2

I get seasick in the bath, so I think if I can do a little Caribbean cruise so can you princess. I will keep you company on the balcony

Transatlantic cruises are at the wrong times and there are no panama canal. There is a 7 night Mexican riviera one in early December. This would fit in with the Christmas itinerary.

I accept the title of "Food Porn" queen. In fact, can I nominate myself to be the official trip photographer with the lovely Shushh as my faithful assistant since she loves photography almost more than me :rotfl2:.

We will need lots of memories from this momentus pretend trip :lmao:
