Is it possible to use our GAD tickets as the "down payment" towards a FL res AP using the payment plan?

Can we enter the park with the tickets & then go to Guest Relations to upgrade to FL res AP's & sign up for the payment plan in-person and the value of our 1-day ticket be applied as the starter payment, or is the payment plan a online option only?

Yes and Yes. As of August 11 it is both online and available at any WDW Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations office (or DTD GRO).

Thank you! I have another question based on what I read in your ticket thread, if you don't mind.

I know when you buy FL res. tix online, the billing address must be in FL. Is this true for the in-person sign-up as well? Meaning do you provide the billing addy when you sign up in-person, or do they just swipe your card?

I only ask because legally 100%, we are FL residents, but we live outside of FL temporarily as military. We are NOT residents of the state we live in, but our mail comes here so our billing addy is outside of FL. We have FL DLs & voter regs to show for our proof of residency as well as military ID's.

I know the ticket thread says a 3rd party handles the payment processing, so I assume it's out of Disney's hands if it rejects our cards at Guest Relations, but I'm hoping it will work.

Same here -- WE are Florida residents -- still own a house there -- but we live in Alabama for military service. We have SP that we bought for a slightly lower price at Shades of Green. They gave us a voucher and we took it to the parks. That morning, guest relations asked to see our driver's licenses or a copy of military orders. We still have Florida Licenses so we were fine. There is also another form that you can print from the DOD that declares your state residency but indicates you are living in another state for military orders. If you PM me then I'll ask my hubby what the form was. We had to use it so I didn't have to pay state taxes to AL. Either way, I don't think you will have a problem but you could also call the ticket booth at Shades of Green and they could help you with the specifics.
